Arvid Lindblad started his Australia journey with a stopover in Delhi in India for Red Bull Moto Jam, driving the RB8 F1 in a Racing Bulls livery.

Ahead of his travel to Australia for his first F1 Grand Prix, Racing Bulls Lindblad completed a showrun to enthrall the Indian fans in Delhi NCR region. The Brit drove Sebastian Vettel’s title-winning RB8, draped in a Racing Bulls livery of the 2026 season.

Lindblad’s Indian connection

Lindblad has an Indian connection, considering his mother’s family hails from India’s Punjab region. His father his Swedish, but he races under British license, after moving to the United Kingdom at an early age.

The 18-year-old was a part of a group of Red Bull Athletes, performing at 2026 Red Bull Moto Jam event.

Apart from the donuts, Red Bull celebrated the Indian festival of colours i.e Holi, by releasing coloured powder from the car in one of Lindblad’s run. They performed a similar stunt in India’s Hyderabad, during a showrun in 2015, with David Coulthard driving in Red Bull colours.

Lindblad had fun

Since the announcement of Lindblad racing in F1, the Brit has visited India multiple times. His travel to Delhi included spending time at India Gate.

He also recorded a special feature with Sky Sports F1’s Ted Kravitz, as Racing Bulls shared on its social media.

“It was such a unique opportunity to be part of the Red Bull Moto Jam event and be able to drive a F1 car in India,” said Lindblad after the showrun.

“Having the chance to be behind the wheel in this country, whose culture truly shaped me during my childhood, was really special.

Good start to F1 2026

From kicking off the weekend by visiting the historical India Gate in Delhi to seeing all the fans cheering for me during the exhibition, it was such a nice moment. I hope they had a great time. A huge thank you to everyone involved; there couldn’t have been a better way to kick off my F1 season before going to Melbourne next week.”

Chandhok show

Before Lindblad’s run on Sunday, Sky Sports pundit and former F1 racer, Karun Chandhok, completed few laps in the RB8 around India’s Buddh International Circuit. The circuit – which is back in news – hosted Indian GP in 2011, 2012 and 2013 – all the three races won by Red Bull and Vettel.
