The 2025 Formula 3 season was immensely successful for Campos Racing. With all three drivers finishing in the top ten of the Drivers’ Standings, the team secured their maiden F3 Teams’ title, racking up 314 points.

All three drivers had a stellar season, showing their continued development. 2025 marked Nikola Tsolov’s and Mari Boya’s third campaign in F3, while Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak completed his second. Tsolov and Boya’s development and strong performances were reflected in the results, as both were in contention for the title this season

Early setbacks didn’t deter Boya from a resilient comeback

While the team secured points in every round this season, it was not without setbacks. Boya’s start to the season looked like an uphill battle. However, the Spaniard capped off his campaign with the strongest finish of his three-year stint in the series, securing 3rd in the F3 Drivers’ Championship. Most notably, Boya secured his first Feature Race victory at Silverstone and five podium finishes this season.

The season opener in Melbourne proved difficult for Boya, as a disrupted Qualifying session left him starting down in P23 on the grid. He could not fight for more than P12 in the Sprint Race, while the Feature Race left him settling with a P17 finish. The opening weekend left the Spaniard with no points. In Bahrain, a similar story saw him qualify P20. However, with great effort, Boya climbed through the field to finish P8 in the Feature and grab his first points of the season. From then on, the Spaniard had a brilliant comeback that showcased his consistency, resilience, and talent.

A season of firsts for Inthraphuvasak

Inthraphuvasak wrapped up his second campaign with a 7th place finish in the Drivers’ Championship. The Thai driver’s season started on a high note, qualifying P7 and then finishing P4 in the Sprint and P7 in the Feature Race in Melbourne. Despite a strong start, the Campos driver then had a couple of fruitless rounds. The next three race weekends saw him finish outside the points.

The Thai driver showed great resilience in bouncing back from setbacks, even grabbing his maiden F3 win at the Sprint in Silverstone, followed by another Sprint win in Hungary. He ended the season on a high by claiming his first Feature Race win in Monza, leading the Campos 1-2 finish as he was joined on the podium by Tsolov.

The Imola weekend proved challenging for all three Campos drivers, who were set back by power-cut issues. The electronic issues hampered their chances of scoring points; however, both Tsolov and Boya persevered.

Tsolov bounces back

Similarly, Tsolov climbed through the ranks to record the best result of his three-year spell in the series, finishing 2nd in the Drivers’ Championship. The 2023 and 2024 seasons saw him finish 22nd and 11th, respectively, making this a significant step for the 19-year-old. The Bulgarian concluded his season with two wins and six podiums. Tsolov had been a driver to watch all season, as his consistency and impressive improvement shone through.

Monaco was a standout moment for the Campos team, building strong momentum towards the title. The narrow streets of Monte Carlo saw Tsolov convert pole position into a Feature Race victory and claimed Campos’ first win in Monaco. Boya also excelled here with a precise drive, securing third on the podium.

One of the biggest setbacks for the team and the driver occurred at the Red Bull Ring in Round 6. After a brilliant weekend in which Tsolov secured pole position, a podium, and a victory in the Feature Race, he was disqualified post-race. The Campos Racing car failed to meet the FIA technical regulations, as the plank fell short of the 4.0 mm minimum permitted after wear. The team sought to overturn the disqualification and argued with the Stewards that the curb impact had accelerated plank abrasion, but this was rejected.

After the disqualification, the team bounced back with several stellar weekends.

Final steps to victory

In its 27-year history, 2025 marks the first time Campos Racing has stormed to the F3 Teams’ title. From the start of the season, the team showed its competitiveness and established itself as the team to beat.

The Spanish outfit has been steadily improving in F3 over the past few years and has finally secured its maiden title. Campos finished fourth in the Teams’ Championship the past two years, making this victory a significant step forward. Their hard work and improvements have paid off, and they now stand at the top.

Despite occasional setbacks, Campos maintained an incredible pace and consistency throughout the season. Building on early momentum in Monaco, the team’s competitiveness and effort put them on the right path to success.

Campos and its drivers have done an incredible job this season, every step of the way leading them to the title. As the reigning Team Champions, the Spanish outfit will be hoping to defend the title and will field Théophile Näel and Ugo Ugochukwu, who return to the championship for a second campaign, alongside rookie Ernesto Rivera, who steps up from Eurocup-3.
