Norris the defending race winner at the F1 Austrian GP

In the 2025 F1 Austrian GP, Lando Norris came out on top in a thrilling duel with his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri. Charles Leclerc finished 3rd for Scuderia Ferrari.

Alongside the defending World Champion, both Ferrari drivers and Max Verstappen have won at the Red Bull Ring previously.

Current F1 points leader Kimi Antonelli did not finish last year after crashing into the Dutchman on the opening lap. It would prove to be very costly for car #3 at the end of 2025.

The Italian is 41 and 50 points clear of Hamilton and Russell respectively heading into this weekend. Mercedes also hold a strong lead of 72 over Ferrari in the Constructors‘ Championship.

Close 2026 F2 and F3 title fights

In F2, Gabriele Minì leads the standings ahead of their two races. The Italian driver’s very consistent season has been a key factor in this. He is six clear of Nikola Tsolov as they head to the Red Bull Ring.

Third in points is Rafael Câmara, with Alex Dunne fourth. They finished 1-2 in the Feature Race at the Circuit de Catalunya, moving themselves within 17 and 19 points of the MP Motorsport driver. The Irishman is the only driver who has finished on the podium in every round so far.

Victory for Théophile Naël in the F3 Feature Race at Barcelona sees the Frenchman within six points of Campos Racing teammate Ugo Ugochukwu ahead of the Austrian round.

Bruno del Pino, Freddie Slater and Brando Badoer are also right in the hunt. 17 points covers the five drivers.
