James Egozi extended his advantage at the top of the 2026 Eurocup-3 Drivers’ Championship to 107 points after taking his seventh victory of the season during Round 5 at Silverstone.
The Palou Motorsport driver arrived in Britain with a 93-point advantage following his dominant double victory at Monza. Although Keanu Al Azhari ended Egozi’s four-race winning streak with victory in Race 1, the championship leader responded by winning Race 2 and increased his total from 193 to 235 points.
Meanwhile, Al Azhari produced his strongest weekend since the season opener to climb from fourth to third. Ean Eyckmans remains second after scoring 28 points, while René Lammers slips to fourth despite securing another podium. Just nine points now separate the three drivers behind Egozi.
Egozi increases championship lead despite Al Azhari breakthrough
Egozi entered Silverstone as the clear championship leader after scoring 51 of the 52 available points at Monza. However, the American faced a stronger challenge during Eurocup-3’s first visit to Silverstone.
Al Azhari dominated Friday’s Qualifying sessions, taking pole position for both races. Egozi, meanwhile, qualified fourth twice and therefore faced the task of moving forward in both contests.
He climbed one position in Race 1 to finish third behind Al Azhari and Lammers, adding 16 points after also securing the fastest lap. His result meant Al Azhari reduced the championship deficit on Saturday, but Egozi responded immediately in Race 2.
The Palou Motorsport driver again started fourth but worked his way to the front before claiming his seventh victory of the season. Another fastest lap gave him 26 points from Sunday and increased his Silverstone haul to 42.
Egozi therefore moves from 193 to 235 points. Eyckmans remains his nearest challenger on 128, but the championship leader has increased his advantage from 93 to 107 points with three rounds remaining.
Al Azhari climbs to third as Eyckmans retains second
Al Azhari made the largest gain among the leading championship contenders after converting his strong Qualifying performance into a victory.
The Hitech driver started Race 1 from pole and resisted early pressure from Lammers before building a comfortable advantage following the Safety Car restart. He eventually crossed the line more than six seconds ahead of the MP Motorsport driver to claim his second main-race victory of the season.
His two pole positions and Race 1 victory put him in position for another substantial result on Sunday. However, front-wing problems struck while he ran second with two laps remaining. Al Azhari dropped to seventh before reaching the finish, limiting his points return from Race 2.
Nevertheless, his 35-point weekend increased his championship total from 86 to 121 and moved him ahead of Lammers into third.
Eyckmans remains second after adding 28 points across the two races. The MP Motorsport rookie finished fifth in Race 1 before inheriting second in Race 2 following Al Azhari’s late problems. He moves from 100 to 128 points and now holds a seven-point advantage over Al Azhari.
However, the battle between the three drivers immediately behind Egozi has tightened considerably. Only nine points now separate Eyckmans, Al Azhari and Lammers.
Lammers slips to fourth despite another podium
Lammers continued his strong run of results at Silverstone but lost a championship position following Al Azhari’s higher-scoring weekend.
The Dutch rookie started Race 1 from third and immediately moved past Eyckmans into second. He then challenged Al Azhari during the opening stages before eventually settling into second, securing his third consecutive podium after his third and second-place finishes at Monza.
Lammers added another 12 points with fourth in Race 2, taking his weekend total to 30. He therefore increases his championship tally from 89 to 119.
Despite that progress, Al Azhari’s victory and two pole positions allowed the Hitech driver to move two points ahead. Lammers consequently drops from third to fourth, although he remains only nine points behind teammate Eyckmans.
The MP Motorsport pair have also reduced the gap between themselves. Lammers trailed Eyckmans by 11 points after Monza but now sits nine behind as the championship heads towards its final three rounds.
Dall’Agnol strengthens fifth as Sztuka moves ahead of Powell
Heitor Dall’Agnol bounced back from his point-less Monza weekend with two scoring finishes at Silverstone.
The Palou Motorsport rookie finished sixth in Race 1 before making significantly greater progress on Sunday. He climbed from further down the order to finish third, securing his first podium since Portimão.
Those results added 23 points to his championship total, moving him from 68 to 91. Dall’Agnol remains fifth but has increased his advantage over the drivers immediately behind him.
Kacper Sztuka now occupies sixth after moving ahead of Alex Powell. The Tecnicar by Amtog driver finished seventh in Race 1 to collect six points, increasing his total from 62 to 68.
Powell, meanwhile, failed to score during the weekend and remains on 62 points. As a result, Sztuka moves six points clear of the Griffin Core by Campos rookie.
Rafaël Pérard also remains on his pre-Silverstone total after failing to score. The Palou Motorsport rookie holds eighth with 58 points, four behind Powell and 10 behind Sztuka.
Heuzenroeder and Pradel make progress inside the top 10
Patrick Heuzenroeder retains ninth after another points-scoring weekend. The Griffin Core by Campos driver finished fifth in Race 2, adding 10 points to increase his championship total from 41 to 51.
However, Gianmarco Pradel made greater progress across the weekend.
The MP Motorsport driver qualified second for Race 2 and scored in both races, finishing fourth on Saturday before adding eighth on Sunday. His 16-point weekend lifts him from 33 to 49 points and promotes him from 11th to 10th in the Drivers’ Championship.
Christopher El Feghali consequently drops outside the top 10. The Drivex rookie failed to add to his 41 points at Silverstone and falls from 10th to 11th.
Thomas Strauven remains 12th on 33 points, while Genaro Trappa added one point to reach 30. Enzo Tarnvanichkul follows on 26 after scoring in both races.

The official standings leave Egozi 107 points clear of Eyckmans, an increase of 14 points from his advantage after Monza. However, the fight behind him has become substantially closer. Eyckmans holds second, but Al Azhari sits only seven points behind and Lammers trails his teammate by nine.
Dall’Agnol has also strengthened his position in fifth, opening a 23-point advantage over Sztuka. Further back, only 19 points cover Sztuka in sixth through Pradel in 10th.
Palou Motorsport extends Teams’ Championship advantage
Palou Motorsport also strengthened its position at the top of the Teams’ Championship despite Hitech and MP Motorsport enjoying productive weekends.
Egozi provided the majority of Palou’s points through his third place and Race 2 victory, while Dall’Agnol’s Sunday podium also contributed to the team’s Silverstone total. Palou increases its championship tally from 285 to 350 points.
MP Motorsport remains second after another consistent weekend. Lammers finished second and fourth, while Eyckmans added fifth and second. Pradel also scored in both races, although only the team’s two highest-finishing drivers contributed towards its championship total in each contest.
The Dutch team moves from 207 to 267 points, leaving it 83 behind Palou Motorsport.
However, Hitech has moved ahead of Griffin Core into third. Al Azhari’s victory provided the foundation of the team’s weekend, while Santino Panetta and Trappa also scored points. Hitech increases its total from 120 to 155.
Griffin Core added 14 points to reach 152, leaving the two teams separated by only three points.

Palou Motorsport’s advantage has therefore increased from 78 to 83 points, while MP Motorsport remains comfortably second. However, the closest fight now sits between Hitech and Griffin Core, with only three points separating the two teams.
Hitech gained 35 points at Silverstone, largely through Al Azhari’s breakthrough weekend, while Griffin Core added 14. Consequently, Hitech overturns its previous 18-point deficit and leaves Britain three points ahead.
Egozi takes 107-point advantage towards Jerez
Silverstone brought Egozi’s four-race winning streak to an end, but the championship leader still left Britain in a stronger position than when he arrived.
His Race 1 podium limited the damage from Al Azhari’s victory before his seventh win of the season in Race 2 allowed him to extend his championship advantage once again. He now holds 235 points from the opening five rounds and leads Eyckmans by 107.
However, the battle behind him has changed significantly. Al Azhari’s 35-point weekend has moved him back into the top three, while only nine points separate Eyckmans, Al Azhari and Lammers from second to fourth.
Dall’Agnol has also rebuilt his advantage in fifth following his difficult Monza weekend, while Sztuka now leads Powell in the battle for sixth. Pradel’s productive weekend has also brought him into the top 10.
Palou Motorsport continues to control the Teams’ Championship, but Hitech’s strong Silverstone performance has created a new battle for third with Griffin Core.
The 2026 Eurocup-3 season continues with Round 6 at Jerez from 25–27 September. Egozi will arrive in Spain with his largest championship advantage of the season, while Eyckmans, Al Azhari and Lammers remain locked in a closely fought battle behind him.
