Qualifying for round 9 of the 2026 F1 season has been completed at the British GP. View the full results here.

After a sole practice session, topped by Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari, the British driver scored the pole later in the Sprint Qualifying. Even though Silverstone is historically a good track for Hamilton, earlier on Saturday, Antonelli managed to steal the win during the Sprint Race. By the end of the 17-lap race, the top 10 were completed with Norris in P3, Russell, Leclerc, Verstappen, Piastri, Lawson, Hadjar, and Lindblad.

Later in the day, cars rolled out on the track once more on Saturday for the main race Qualifying session. Russell locked up and went off into the gravel in Q1, but still managed to set a time and cross to Q2. Colapinto also spun onto the grass, but was eliminated in the first session.

On the first outing, the bottom six were Ocon, Bottas, Colapinto, Perez, Stroll and Alonso. The start of Q2 was delayed as marshals swept gravel off the track. The next six eliminated were Bortoleto, Gasly, Hulkenberg, Bearman, Sainz, and Albon.

Antonelli took pole, but eyes are still on Hamilton for tomorrow’s race. The Brit has won 9 times at his home track, holding the record for most wins at a single F1 track.
