Nikola Tsolov extended his advantage at the top of the 2026 F2 Drivers’ Championship after claiming a historic Feature Race victory at the British GP.
The Campos Racing driver won for the third consecutive race, becoming the first driver in Formula 2 history to achieve the feat. Rafael Villagómez finished second for Van Amersfoort Racing, while Kush Maini completed the podium for ART Grand Prix.
Tsolov now leads the Drivers’ Championship on 141 points, 17 clear of Gabriele Minì. Campos Racing also strengthened its Teams’ Championship lead, moving to 210 points after another major Silverstone haul.
Tsolov extends 2026 F2 Championship lead after historic Feature Race win
Tsolov entered the Feature Race level on points with Minì after winning Saturday’s Sprint Race. However, the Bulgarian produced another decisive drive on Sunday to move clear at the top of the standings.
Starting fifth, Tsolov moved into second early before chasing down Maini for the net lead. He eventually completed the move around the outside at Copse, then controlled the final phase to take victory.
The win added 25 points to Tsolov’s total, moving him from 116 to 141. As a result, he now leads Minì by 17 points heading into the next round.
Minì remains second as Câmara and Dunne stay close behind
Minì finished sixth in the Feature Race, adding eight points to his total. The MP Motorsport driver now sits second on 124 points, but his deficit to Tsolov grew after the Campos driver’s double win at Silverstone.
Rafael Câmara remains third on 94 points after finishing fifth and adding 12 points, including his pole position bonus. Alexander Dunne also scored 12 points with fourth place, moving to 92.
Consequently, only two points separate Câmara and Dunne in the fight for third. However, both now sit more than 30 points behind Minì.
Maini climbs to sixth after podium finish
Maini made one of the most important gains in the upper half of the standings. The ART Grand Prix driver led the opening phase of the Feature Race before finishing third, adding 15 points to his total.
That result moved Maini from eighth to sixth on 63 points. He now trails Noel León by six points and sits six points ahead of Dino Beganovic, who failed to score.
Martinius Stenshorne remains eighth on 48 points after retiring before the race began, while Laurens van Hoepen stays ninth on 47.
Villagómez surges into the top 10
Villagómez delivered the biggest move in the Drivers’ Championship after finishing second. The Van Amersfoort Racing driver used the alternative strategy, stopped late, and charged through the field on fresh soft tyres to secure his best result of the season.
The Mexican added 18 points, moving from 12 to 30. That lifted him from 19th to 10th in the standings.
Ritomo Miyata also remains on 30 points but drops to 11th on countback. Sebastián Montoya, Oliver Goethe and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak are tied behind them on 28 points.
Bilinski, Dürksen and Inthraphuvasak add to their totals
Roman Bilinski scored four points by finishing eighth, moving from 18 to 22 points. Joshua Dürksen added two points for ninth, increasing his total to 26.
Inthraphuvasak collected the final point for 10th, moving to 28 points and joining Montoya and Goethe in a tight midfield group.
Nicolás Varrone, Enzo Fittipaldi, Cian Shields and Mari Boya all remain unchanged after missing out on points at Silverstone.
