The 2026 FIA Formula 3 (F3) Championship returned to action in Barcelona for Round 3 of the season, beginning with the weekend’s sole Free Practice session.
All 30 drivers arrived with plenty of experience around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, having previously raced at the venue and most having completed pre-season testing there earlier in the year. As a result, the session got off to a relatively quiet start, with drivers already familiar with the circuit and its conditions.
Halfway through the session it was a Campos Racing 1-2-3, with Naël leading Ugochukwu and Rivera.
After a brief lull in the session, all drivers returned from the pit lane and back on circuit. With limited tyres available this weekend, drivers remained on their earlier sets, with little to no improvements in times.
The Campos trio remained unchanged from earlier and rounded out the top 3, with Giusti and Kato completing the top 5.
