Championship leader Ugo Ugochukwu was 6th. 0.199s covered the top 9 cars in an extraordinarily close session around the Hungaroring on Friday afternoon.
In Free Practice, championship contender Freddie Slater led the way as the British driver backed by Audi is a point behind Ugo Ugochukwu heading into this event. The American had to settle for 8th.
Slater, Badoer, Clerot, Nakamura, Naël, Deligny, Lacorte, Colnaghi and Gładysz was the full top 10 when the chequered flag fell.
Noah Strømsted stopped late in the session before turn 12 to cause a red flag. It was the second one of Free Practice as Salim Hanna — who was back once more after his debut in Austria — crashed at turn 5.
