2026 F3 Italian GP | Qualifying results

Qualifying for the 2026 Monza F3 round has been completed at the Italian GP, view the full results here.

MP Motorsport had a 1-2-3 in Free Practice earlier on Friday as Alessandro Giusti led Tuukka Taponen and Mattia Colnaghi.

The big story from the session, however, was the penalty handed to championship contender Ugo Ugochukwu. Second in points to Freddie Slater, the American was handed five-place grid penalties for both races as he dangerously put Matteo De Palo in the wall at the end of proceedings.

With 30 cars on the grid, split qualifying came into play at Monza. Nonetheless, that would not stop slipstream games getting played by the drivers as they looked for a tow to fight for pole.

In the first group, Matteo De Palo was fastest on a 1:38.143, ahead of the Japanese trio of Le, Kato and Yamakoshi. It was a dreadful session for Ugo Ugochukwu as he ended up down in 10th.

In the second group, championship leader Freddie Slater smashed in a 1:38.114 to take pole position for Sunday’s Feature Race. He was 0.2s clear of the rest, with Lacorte and Rivera completing the top 3 in the second batch. Théophile Naël botched his only attempt.
