Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough claimed the first two pole positions of his GB3 Championship career during Saturday morning’s two-part Qualifying session at Silverstone in 2026.
Fairclough beat Rodin Motorsport’s Martin Molnar by 0.182s in Qualifying 1 before denying Xcel Motorsport’s Rowan Campbell-Pilling at the end of Qualifying 2. His 1m49.714s secured double pole and established the fastest lap of the weekend.
2026 GB3: Silverstone: Qualifying 1: Fairclough flies to maiden GB3 pole
Fairclough converted his impressive testing pace into his maiden GB3 pole position by topping the opening Qualifying session.
The Hitech driver moved to the front with a 1m50.112s and finished 0.182s clear of Molnar. Fairclough’s performance also gave him his first front-row starting position of the season.
Molnar continued his strong Qualifying run by taking second for Rodin Motorsport. The Hungarian secured a place on the Race 1 front row for the third consecutive round after claiming pole at both the Hungaroring and Red Bull Ring.
Lucas Fluxa narrowly missed the front row for Xcel Motorsport. The Spaniard finished only 0.015s behind Molnar and secured third for the third consecutive Qualifying session.
Abbi Pulling put the second Rodin car fourth after recording a 1m50.440s. The British driver finished 0.131s behind Fluxa and narrowly beat Campbell-Pilling in the second Xcel entry.
Campbell-Pilling took fifth, only 0.020s behind Pulling, while Flynn Jackes qualified sixth for Elite Motorsport. Jackes finished 0.494s away from pole and beat Rodin’s Maxim Rehm by just 0.010s.
Patricio Gonzalez led VRD Racing’s challenge in eighth, with Jacob Micallef securing his best GB3 Qualifying position in ninth for Hitech. Elite’s Kyuho Lee completed the top 10.
Championship leader Nikita Bedrin endured a difficult opening session and qualified only 11th for VRD. He finished 1.050s behind Fairclough and just 0.006s ahead of Hillspeed’s Dante Vinci.
Leon Wilson claimed 13th for Arden Motorsport, while GB3 debutant Edu Robinson placed 14th in Elite’s third car. Rodrigo Gonzalez, Ricardo Baptista and Jason Pribyl followed.
Jack Taylor took 18th ahead of Aurelia Nobels, Yuhao Fu and Peter Bouzinelos.

2026 GB3: Silverstone: Qualifying 2: Fairclough denies Campbell-Pilling with late lap
Fairclough completed his perfect Qualifying morning by taking Race 2 pole with his final attempt of the session.
Campbell-Pilling had moved to the top of the times and appeared set to claim his maiden GB3 pole position. However, Fairclough responded after the chequered flag and recorded a 1m49.714s, the fastest lap of the Silverstone weekend.
The Hitech driver beat Campbell-Pilling by 0.141s and became the first driver to break the 1m50s barrier during pre-event testing or Qualifying.
Nevertheless, Campbell-Pilling secured his strongest Qualifying result of the season and will form an all-British front row with Fairclough for Race 2.
Fluxa finished third for the third consecutive Qualifying session. The Xcel driver recorded a 1m49.901s, which placed him 0.046s behind his teammate and 0.187s away from pole.
Molnar took fourth in the leading Rodin entry. He finished 0.098s behind Fluxa and secured his second top-four starting position of the morning.
Rehm improved to fifth after taking seventh in Qualifying 1. The German finished 0.309s behind Fairclough and only 0.024s behind teammate Molnar.
Patricio Gonzalez again led VRD Racing by qualifying sixth. Championship leader Bedrin improved from his 11th-place result in Qualifying 1 but missed sixth by only 0.002s.
Pulling took eighth in the third Rodin car, while Wilson delivered Arden’s strongest performance of the morning by placing ninth. Micallef completed the top 10 for Hitech, only 0.013s behind Wilson.
Rodrigo Gonzalez finished 11th ahead of debutant Robinson, while Jackes and Lee placed 13th and 14th respectively. Vinci led the three Hillspeed drivers in 15th, ahead of Nobels and Bouzinelos.
Taylor, Baptista, Fu and Pribyl completed the Qualifying 2 order.
