Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough topped the final day of 2026 GB3 Championship testing at Snetterton, as the two-day in-season test came to a close on Wednesday.
Fairclough led three of the four sessions across the day, with his final-session effort of 1:38.451 proving the quickest lap of the entire two-day test. The Hitech driver finished 0.302s clear of 2023 GB3 race winner Joseph Loake, who impressed on his appearance with Fortec Motorsports.
Loake had topped the mixed-condition penultimate session, which featured both wet and dry running. However, he also improved in the final session to secure second overall, making him Fairclough’s closest challenger on day two.
Fairclough takes control for Hitech
Fairclough set the tone early by topping the opening two sessions for Hitech before returning to the top in the fourth and final session.
His 1:38.451 not only secured first place on Wednesday’s combined timesheet, but also put him clear of the benchmark set by Rodin Motorsport’s Maxim Rehm on Tuesday. As a result, Fairclough ended the Snetterton test with the fastest lap across both days.
Hitech also enjoyed a strong day elsewhere in the order. Jacob Micallef concluded his first official GB3 test with the sixth-fastest time, while Yuhao Fu placed eighth overall.
Loake and Rehm complete the top three
Loake was second fastest for Fortec Motorsports, ending the day 0.302s behind Fairclough. His pace across both mixed and dry conditions made him one of the standout names of the final test day.
Rehm, who had topped Tuesday’s running for Rodin Motorsport, finished third on Wednesday. The German driver ended the day 0.538s off Fairclough’s benchmark and a quarter of a second behind Loake.
Abbi Pulling narrowly missed out on another top-three result in testing. The Rodin Motorsport driver placed fourth overall, less than a tenth behind Rehm, continuing a consistent showing across the two-day test.
Rodin remains firmly inside the top five
Rodin Motorsport again showed strong collective pace, with all three of its cars finishing inside the top five.
Martin Molnar completed that group in fifth after setting his best time in session one. The Hungarian was less than a tenth behind Pulling and 0.183s clear of Micallef in sixth.
Hillspeed’s Dante Vinci was seventh overall, also using his session one effort to remain inside the top ten. The Australian was the final driver to finish within one second of Fairclough’s outright pace.
Fu, Gonzalez and Lee round out the top ten
Yuhao Fu placed eighth for Hitech, finishing just 0.032s ahead of VRD Racing’s Patricio Gonzalez.
Kyuho Lee was the leading Elite Motorsport runner in tenth. His best effort left him 1.098s away from Fairclough, with the top ten covered by just over a second.
Peter Bouzinelos followed in 11th for Hillspeed, narrowly ahead of Rodrigo Gonzalez in the second VRD Racing entry.
