Demitri Nolan will step up to the GB4 Championship this season after securing a deal with reigning Team Vice-Champions Hillspeed. The 21-year-old American becomes the first confirmed driver for the Markham Vale-based squad as it prepares for another competitive campaign.

Furthermore, Nolan already shares a strong relationship with the team, having first tested with Hillspeed ahead of last season. As a result, both driver and team enter the new season with confidence and familiarity.

Building momentum in the United States

Nolan arrives in GB4 following an impressive campaign in the F4 United States Championship. He finished sixth overall in the standings and secured a best result of third place at Virginia International Raceway. This performance marked a significant step forward in his development and demonstrated his ability to compete consistently at a high level.

Prior to his F4 campaign, Nolan made his single-seater debut in 2024 in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship. Despite limited experience, he finished 10th overall and achieved a best race result of fourth place at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Notably, Nolan’s rise through the ranks has been swift. After only a brief period in karting, he transitioned into car racing and quickly established himself as a competitive driver.

Hillspeed’s proven pedigree

Hillspeed has built a strong reputation in GB4 since the championship’s inception in 2022. The team delivered an impressive debut season, claiming 14 podiums and two race wins.

After focusing on GB3 in the following years, the Derbyshire outfit returned to GB4 last season with immediate success. Daniel Guinchard secured two victories and six additional podiums to finish third in the standings, while team-mate Leandro Juncos added one win and three podiums on his way to fifth overall. Consequently, Hillspeed ended the campaign as Team Vice-Champions, underlining its strength and consistency.

Team principal Richard Ollerenshaw expressed strong belief in Nolan’s potential, particularly given his prior testing experience and recent performances.

“We’ve known Demitri a good while now, having tested with him before last season, so we’re delighted to have signed him for his maiden season in GB4. We’re confident he’ll hit the ground running with his F4 experience, and the progress during winter testing so far has only confirmed that for us.

“Demitri had some very strong races in F4 United States last year and this will only help his transition to GB4. The level of competition will be a step-up, GB4 has fantastic strength in depth, but we really do have high hopes for Demitri in his first year of racing outside the US.”

A driver ready for the challenge

Nolan, whose career is guided by Niclas Jonsson’s KDE Management, sees this opportunity as a major milestone. He remains focused on building on his recent experiences while adapting to new circuits and competition.

“I’m thrilled for this opportunity. It means everything to represent Hillspeed’s name and crew in my first GB4 Championship season. I’m grateful to Richard and Morgan [Ollerenshaw] and the rest of the team for their dedication to help continue my progress. We have been working with Nic [Jonsson] and KDE Management over the last 18 months to get me to this point in my driver development, and I’m thankful to everyone else who has helped to get me to where I am now.

“The last season [F4 US Championship] taught me some valuable lessons for sure, but it was also something of a turning point for me as a competitor. Between that experience and this year’s testing, I hope to continue improving, get to know the tracks, focus on what I need to, and live up to both my own expectations and the Hillspeed brand for the 2026 season.”

As Nolan prepares for his GB4 debut, expectations continue to build. While the championship presents a step up in competition, his recent form and testing progress suggest he has the tools to adapt quickly.

With Hillspeed’s proven track record and Nolan’s determination, the partnership could emerge as one to watch throughout the 2026 season.
