Andretti’s Jake Dennis enters the 2025/2026 Formula E season finale as championship leader, aiming to secure his second title in London. The home talent had begun the season on the right path, winning the first event in São Paulo, whereas the lowest point of his year definitely happened in Monaco.
In fact, Dennis , who has never won a round at the Principality, didn’t manage to score any point in the double header. The Andretti man suffered from early onset contact with championship rival Nick Cassidy, which forced him to retire from the Saturday event.
On the other hand, the Asian championship leg was much more favourable for the Brit. The racer, in his sixth Formula E season with the American team, secured a win in Sanya and ended both Tokyo rounds on the podium, effectively dethroning Mitch Evans from P1 in the drivers’standings.

The Brit discussed his expectations for the racing weekend ahead of the first on-track session of the day, as he explained in the media pen:
Yeah, I mean, it’s definitely on the line. we’re leading in the championship, so there’s no reason why we can’t try and at least give this a go.”
“I’m feeling good inside of the car, headspace is in a good spot, so I’m just looking forward to getting out on track properly tomorrow and seeing where we qualify.”
Dennis’s later FP1 session in London was not as easy as he might have anticipated, as he severely struggled with grip. He even ran off track at Turn 1, missing the apex while trying to develop feeling with his Andretti challenger.
Ultimately, the ExCel track in London has already reserved career highs to Dennis, who had secured his 2022/2023 title campaign right here with a double podium finish. However, he has never managed to actually win a home Formula E event. Will this time around be the charm?
