Ugo Ugochukwu drove a dominant race and claimed the Feature Race victory at the 2026 F3 Australian GP.
The Feature Race began with only 28 cars on the grid, as PREMA drivers James Wharton and Louis Sharp had to withdraw due to significant damage sustained in the Sprint Race.
Théophile Naël and Ugo Ugochukwu began the F3 Australian GP Feature Race on the front row. With a solid launch off the line, Naël managed to keep his position at the start. Ugochukwu was quickly overtaken by Freddie Slater before he managed to take back the position. The American then flew past his teammate to take the lead on Lap 4.
The first Safety Car of the race came on Lap 9 when Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi went off at Turn 12. From then on, the pressure was on. Naël received a 5-second penalty for moving at the start, while both Nicola Lacorte and Noah Stromsted received penalties for a collision between them.
In the last three laps, another Safety Car was deployed as Woohyun Shin went into the barrier at Turn 5 as he came across a slowly recovering De Palo who had spun. The final lap of the Feature Race concluded under the Safety Car as Ugochukwu crossed the finish line first and delivered the win. As Naël and Stromsted had penalties to serve, them crossing the line third and fourth still left them outside of the top ten.

Note: Nicola Lacorte originally finished P19, but was demoted to P25 after the stewards handed him a 10-second time penalty post-race. The stewards noted that Car 29 had failed to activate the start set-up procedure, breaching Article 37.6 of the FIA Formula 3 Sporting Regulations.
