Round 9 of the 2025 Indy NXT season is in the books as the race at Iowa has been completed, view the full report and results below.
Unfortunately for Seb Murray, he missed the race as the IndyCar medical team did not clear him following his frightening crash with Ricardo Escotto at Mid-Ohio last weekend.
Grid order was decided on championship positions as inclement weather forced qualifying to be called off. Dennis Hauger started on pole once again.

As Hauger got the perfect start, Lochie Hughes and Myles Rowe had a very intense battle for P2 once the American had cleared Collet at the start. Contact was made out of turn 2 as the Aussie looked to make a reactionary defensive move. Rowe would ultimately get him out of turn 4.
Fastest in a reduced practice session, Salvador de Alba overtook Pierson for 5th as he swept around the outside of turn 2.
A hammer blow to Lochie Hughes’ tilte hopes
In a huge moment for the championship, Hughes got a drive-through penalty for the moment with Rowe. He dropped to the back, and the Australian was a lap down on Hauger and the whole field.
On lap 20, Dennis Hauger and Myles Rowe started to lap cars, clearing Tommy Smith.
de Alba continued to make his way through as he overtook Collet on lap 24. It looked like the Brazilian was going to lose another spot as Josh Pierson got a run on him.
Cautions start to appear
However, as he went side-by-side with Collet, he lost the car on the high line, spun onto the grass down the track. He avoided the wall and could continue. A caution was thrown instantly.
As the race resumed, Escotto and Correa had separate spins with the pair getting caught out by the slow restart.
On another restart, the caution quickly appeared again. Davey Hamilton Jr. spun at turn 2. James Roe got high just ahead and was lucky not to end up in the wall due to marbles.
Behind the lapped Tommy Smith, Salvador de Alba almost crashed into the Aussie, allowing Collet to claim 3rd.
Finally when it went green things stayed clean. Jack William Miller was eaten up as he dropped from P7 to 14th as cars went three and four-wide. He was badly checked up with backmarkers in the middle of things.
Hauger, Rowe, Collet, de Alba, Koolen, Hedge, Roe, Missig, Aron and Taylor was the top 10 with 30 laps left. The Dutch and Irish drivers had made up seven and eight spots respectively from their starting spots.
At turn 4 on lap 62, Myles Rowe took to the high line and swept around the outside of Dennis Hauger to take the lead of the race. The Norwegian got caught in the dirty air down low with Miller and did not want to take the high line.
With seven laps to go, de Alba cleared Collet for 3rd once again.
History for Myles Rowe
Myles Rowe pulled away from Hauger, taking his first Indy NXT win by 1.3s in the end as he managed the traffic perfectly. de Alba completed the podium in P3, with Caio Collet 4th. Lochie Hughes was only 16th in the end.
Of the spinners, Josh Pierson finished highest in P11.
