Fortec Motorsports has confirmed that Jordyn Martin will join the team for the 2026 GB4 Championship, marking the American driver’s debut in single-seater racing at this level. The 15-year-old from South Florida steps into one of the UK’s most competitive junior formulas after a rapid and diverse motorsport rise.
Fortec continues to invest in emerging talent, and Martin becomes part of its 2026 driver line-up following early testing in GB4 machinery. As a result, she enters the season with valuable preparation and a clear development pathway.
Diverse racing background builds strong foundation
Martin began her motorsport career in motocross at the age of eight, where she developed early racecraft and bike control. She then transitioned into four-wheel competition, progressing through dirt ovals and bandoleros before moving into karting in the KA100 Junior category.
She claimed the Junior Sportsman 2 Track Championship at Hobe Sound in 2022, which marked her first major title success. The following year, she finished runner-up in the Callahan Winter Dirt Series and secured two podium finishes in bandoleros, continuing her upward trajectory.
In 2024, she stepped into circuit racing and finished inside the top 10 in the Homestead Club Road Course Championship. Meanwhile, she progressed into KA100 Junior karting, where she continued to refine her racecraft.
Her momentum carried into 2025, where she delivered multiple wins, pole positions, and podiums in the AMR series. Consequently, she developed a reputation for assertive overtaking and consistent race pace.
International experience and early single-seater steps
Martin has also expanded her racing experience beyond the United States. She has competed at Clay Pigeon Raceway in the United Kingdom, gaining valuable track time on unfamiliar circuits.
She later made her first single-seater appearances in North America. On debut in the South East Formula Series, she finished second, immediately demonstrating adaptability to more powerful machinery. In addition, she competed in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship and secured a top-10 finish in her first event.
She has already completed initial running in the Tatuus MSV-025 car with Fortec Motorsport and will continue an extensive testing programme ahead of her debut GB4 season.
Martin has expressed excitement about joining Fortec Motorsports and stepping into GB4 for the first time. She aims to adapt quickly and build momentum from the opening round.
“This is a huge step in my career and I’m incredibly proud to be joining Fortec for my first season in GB4. The car already feels amazing to drive, and the team has been fantastic in helping me adapt and learn quickly. I can’t wait to get started at Silverstone and show what we can do.”
Her comments reflect both enthusiasm and a strong focus on development ahead of her rookie campaign.
Team sees strong development potential
Fortec Team Principal Oliver Dutton has also highlighted Martin’s raw speed and learning mindset as key strengths heading into 2026.
“Jordyn has shown raw pace and a willingness to learn, which are exactly the qualities we want to develop in GB4. Her background across both dirt and circuit racing has given her a strong foundation, and with a full testing programme we believe she can make a real impact during her first competitive season in single-seaters.”
Martin now begins a significant transition into UK single-seater racing with a strong and varied motorsport background behind her. With early testing experience, international exposure, and a full development programme in place, she enters GB4 with clear potential.
If she continues to adapt quickly, she could establish herself as one of the most closely watched rookies of the 2026 GB4 Championship.
