Crosslink Motorsports Team Owner Gill Kaszuba is determined to end the 2026 season with championship success as the American outfit prepares for the final round of the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC) and Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) at Barber Motorsports Park.

With two races remaining in each championship, Crosslink enters the decisive weekend second in the FR Americas Teams’ Championship standings and remains in contention for the Masters title with Kevin Janzen. The team will field five cars in FR Americas, while Fernando Rivera will complete his F4 U.S. campaign with the squad.

Kaszuba believes his drivers’ performances and the team’s collective efforts throughout the season have provided a strong foundation for the final weekend. Although the championship battles remain undecided, he is confident that Crosslink can challenge for victories and podium finishes as it attempts to convert its progress into a successful conclusion.

Kaszuba determined to end 2026 with championship success

Crosslink Motorsport’s preparations for Barber come after a competitive campaign in both categories, with its FR Americas programme establishing itself among the leading teams throughout 2026. Although the squad has experienced setbacks, its drivers have consistently demonstrated the pace required to fight for victories and podium finishes.

The team’s position in the championship standings means there is still an opportunity to secure the FR Americas Teams’ title, although the outcome will depend on performances across the final two races. Kaszuba acknowledged the importance of maximising the remaining opportunities, while emphasising the work completed by his drivers and personnel throughout the year.

“We’re excited to head to Barber for the final weekend of the season. The team has put in a tremendous amount of work throughout the year, and having the FR Americas team championship still within reach gives us plenty to fight for. Our drivers have shown strong pace and determination all season, and we want to make the most of these final races. We’re also looking forward to giving Fernando a strong send-off in F4 as we wrap up both championships. Everyone is focused on finishing the year the right way.”

His comments reflect Crosslink’s ambitions heading into the final weekend, with the organisation determined to challenge for championship honours while ensuring its drivers conclude their respective campaigns with competitive results.

Five-car FR Americas line-up provides multiple opportunities

Crosslink will enter five drivers in the final FR Americas event, with Evagoras Papasavvas, Kekai Hauanio, Alex Bobadilla, Aidan Schuh and Kevin Janzen representing the team at the Alabama circuit.

The line-up combines drivers who have already achieved success during the season with competitors continuing to develop their experience in Formula Regional machinery. Their combined performances will be particularly important in the Teams’ Championship, where Crosslink will attempt to overcome the deficit to the standings leaders.

The squad arrives at Barber following an encouraging penultimate round at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), where Hauanio secured victory in the opening race before adding a second-place finish in Race 2. His performances reinforced his position among the championship’s leading competitors and provided Crosslink with valuable momentum ahead of the finale.

Schuh also enjoyed a significant weekend at VIR, securing his maiden FR Americas podium with third place in the second race. Bobadilla contributed competitive finishes, taking fourth in Race 1 before finishing seventh in the following encounter, while Papasavvas will look to recover from a difficult outing and end his campaign positively.

Those performances demonstrated the strength of Crosslink’s wider driver roster, with several competitors capable of contributing to the team’s championship ambitions. The challenge at Barber will be to deliver similarly competitive results across both races while avoiding the setbacks that could prove costly in a closely contested title battle.

Janzen targets Masters Championship honours

Alongside its fight for the overall Teams’ Championship, Crosslink will also support Janzen’s bid for the FR Americas Masters title.

Janzen has been a consistent performer in the class throughout the season, with his results providing another source of success for the American outfit. He was particularly impressive during the penultimate round at VIR, where he secured Masters victories in both races.

His performances have allowed Crosslink to remain in contention for another championship as the season approaches its conclusion. With two races remaining, consistency will be particularly important as Janzen attempts to convert his previous results into a successful title challenge.

The Masters battle also adds another dimension to the team’s preparations, requiring Crosslink to balance the ambitions of its overall FR Americas competitors with Janzen’s objectives in his classification.

For Kaszuba, the opportunity to challenge for titles in multiple categories reflects the depth of the team’s 2026 programme. Strong performances from all five drivers could provide an important contribution to its overall championship position while allowing Janzen to pursue his individual goals.

Crosslink’s commitments at Barber will extend beyond FR Americas, with Fernando Rivera returning for the final two races of the 2026 F4 U.S. Championship.

Rivera has represented the team throughout the season, gaining valuable experience as he continues his development in junior single-seater racing. His campaign has included encouraging performances, although the competitive nature of the championship has also presented challenges.

At VIR, Rivera completed both races in sixth position, demonstrating consistency during the penultimate weekend. He will now aim to build on those results and challenge further up the order as his season draws to a close.

Kaszuba specifically highlighted the importance of providing Rivera with a strong final weekend, acknowledging his contribution to the team’s F4 programme and expressing the desire to conclude their campaign positively.

Although the team’s principal championship objectives lie in FR Americas, Rivera’s performances will remain an important part of Crosslink’s overall ambitions at Barber. Another competitive weekend would provide a positive conclusion to his season and further demonstrate the progress he has made throughout 2026.

Barber Motorsports Park will host the concluding round of both championships on 16–18 October, bringing the 2026 FR Americas and F4 U.S. campaigns to an end.

The 2.38-mile circuit features 17 corners and significant elevation changes, presenting a technical challenge for drivers as they attempt to maximise performance during the final weekend.

Friday’s programme will feature practice sessions, allowing teams to refine their setups before Saturday’s qualifying sessions and opening races. The championships will then conclude with their respective final races on Sunday, determining the remaining titles and championship positions.

For Crosslink, the weekend presents an opportunity to translate a season of competitive performances into championship success. Its five-car FR Americas entry provides several opportunities to score important points, while Janzen’s Masters campaign and Rivera’s final F4 appearances add further significance to the event.

With the FR Americas Teams’ Championship still within reach, Kaszuba and his drivers will approach the final two races determined to extract the maximum from their remaining opportunities.

Having already demonstrated their competitiveness through victories and podium finishes during the season, Crosslink will aim to bring that momentum into Barber and conclude its 2026 campaign with the strongest possible results.
