KCMG has finalised its driver line-up for the upcoming 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours, completing a strong four-driver roster for the demanding Nordschleife endurance classic. The Hong Kong-based outfit will field the No. 47 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, aiming to build on promising pace shown during the recent qualifying events.
The entry combines experience and emerging talent, as KCMG targets a clean and consistent run in one of the most unpredictable endurance races in the world.
KCMG confirms strong four-driver line-up confirmed for 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours
KCMG will share driving duties between David Pittard, Jesse Krohn, and Japanese SUPER GT regulars Nirei Fukuzumi and Naoya Gamou.
The combination brings together endurance racing expertise and high-level GT experience from Japan’s top-tier championship, creating a balanced and competitive lineup for the Eifel endurance marathon.
Importantly, KCMG retains the same driver quartet that contested the Nürburgring 24 Qualifiers earlier this month, reinforcing stability within the squad as it prepares for the main event.
Fukuzumi continues Nordschleife learning curve which Gamou brings experience and proven success
For Fukuzumi, the Nürburgring 24 represents another major step in his expanding endurance racing career. The Japanese driver recently made his top-class Nordschleife debut with KCMG during NLS competition and now prepares for his first attempt at the 24-hour race.
His experience in SUPER GT, particularly in GT500 machinery, provides valuable high-speed racecraft that could translate well to the demanding Nürburgring environment.
In contrast, Gamou arrives with significantly more Nordschleife experience. A veteran of the event, he previously claimed an SP3 class victory in 2014 and has since competed across multiple GT categories at the circuit.
He also campaigns a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in SUPER GT’s GT300 class, giving him familiarity with both the car and long-distance racing formats. However, this year marks his first full experience of the Nordschleife in GT3 machinery, adding an extra layer of challenge to his campaign.
Team manager Matt Howson expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation despite a demanding build-up to the race. He said, “This season has been one of the most challenging so far for KCMG, with limited time to learn a new car, integrate new drivers and team members whilst preparing for one of the world’s most difficult endurance races, the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
“Despite these challenges the team and drivers have done a phenomenal job, displaying the potential to fight at the front in each NLS event and at the N24 Qualifiers. With our strong driver line-up of Nirei, Naoya, Jesse and David we will be focusing on a clean and consistent race.
“This event and circuit are unpredictable and unforgiving, but I have every confidence the KCMG team and drivers are ready to deliver on their potential!”
Measured approach to a demanding dace
KCMG’s strategy centres on consistency rather than outright aggression. Given the unpredictable nature of the Nordschleife, the team aims to avoid unnecessary risks while capitalising on opportunities as they arise.
With a blend of GT500-level speed, endurance pedigree, and Nordschleife experience, the lineup is well equipped to navigate the chaos that typically defines the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
Ultimately, success at the Nürburgring 24 Hours often depends less on outright pace and more on execution over 24 demanding hours. KCMG enters the event with a clear philosophy: stay clean, stay consistent, and stay in contention until the final hours decide the outcome.
