Kiwi Motorsport will field six cars across FRAC and F4 U.S. at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this September 2026 weekend as the two championships head north of the border.
Cooper Shipman and Harbir Dass will represent the team in FRAC, while Clemente Huerta, Zach Fourie, Caleb Campbell and Ayden Kohut form its four-car F4 U.S. line-up. The Canadian event gives Kiwi Motorsport another opportunity to strengthen its championship positions across both categories as the 2026 season enters its latter stages.
CTMP’s 2.459-mile, 10-turn layout combines high-speed corners with significant elevation changes, creating a demanding challenge for both drivers and teams. Thursday testing will open the weekend before Practice and Qualifying on Friday, with racing beginning later that afternoon.
Shipman leads Kiwi Motorsport’s FRAC challenge
Shipman arrives at CTMP firmly involved in the FRAC title fight and gives Kiwi Motorsport a proven reference at the circuit.
The reigning F4 U.S. champion swept all three races at CTMP during the 2025 season, making the Canadian venue one of the strongest tracks from his title-winning campaign. He returns this year in Formula Regional machinery and will look to use that experience as he continues chasing championship leaders Evagoras Papasavvas and Brady Golan.
Dass completes Kiwi Motorsport’s two-car FRAC entry and also arrives with encouraging recent form. He returned to the podium at New Jersey Motorsports Park with a third-place finish, matching his best result of the 2026 season.
Together, the pair give Kiwi Motorsport two drivers capable of challenging near the front as three more FRAC races provide an opportunity to gain significant ground in the championship.
Fourie and Campbell carry F4 U.S. title hopes
Kiwi Motorsport will also field four cars in F4 U.S., with Fourie and Campbell both occupying prominent positions in the championship battle.
Campbell heads to his home event looking to rebound from a difficult round at New Jersey, where he surrendered the championship lead after missing the podium in all three races. The Canadian now returns to a circuit where he has prior experience and will look to reduce the deficit to new points leader Gastón Irazú.
Fourie sits close behind in the standings and continues a campaign that requires frequent long-distance travel from his home in South Africa. The Kiwi Motorsport driver has remained one of the most consistent contenders throughout the season and arrives in Canada with another opportunity to strengthen his title position.
Huerta and Kohut complete the team’s F4 U.S. line-up, giving Kiwi Motorsport several opportunities to score strongly throughout the weekend.
Huerta aims to continue New Jersey resurgence
Notably, Huerta arrives at CTMP with renewed momentum after making a change ahead of the previous round.
The Chilean returned to Kiwi Motorsport before New Jersey and immediately delivered improved results, scoring two podium finishes during the weekend. Those performances represented a significant step forward after a difficult opening half of the season and give him a strong platform heading into Canada.
CTMP also offers Huerta a chance to improve on his 2025 visit, which ended early after a crash during the final stages of Race 2. Returning with stronger recent form and renewed familiarity with the team, he will look to convert that momentum into another competitive weekend.
Kohut, meanwhile, continues his first full F4 U.S. season after progressing through Kiwi Motorsport’s testing programme. His focus remains on building consistency and moving further towards regular top-five contention as his experience grows.
Larsen targets strong execution across both championships
Team Owner Teena Larsen believes the six-driver line-up gives Kiwi Motorsport a strong opportunity across both categories, but she expects CTMP to demand precise execution throughout testing, Qualifying and the races.
“We’re excited to bring both our FR Americas and F4 U.S. programs to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park,” explained Team Owner Teena Larsen. “It’s always special to race north of the border, and it’s a fantastic track for these cars. We have a strong group of drivers across both series, and everyone is ready to get to work. The goal is to maximize the testing and practice sessions, put ourselves in strong positions for qualifying, and then fight for the best results possible throughout the weekend to put us in a good position in the championship standings.”
Although Larsen used the championship’s full official name in her quote, Kiwi Motorsport’s FRAC programme enters the weekend with particularly strong championship implications through Shipman’s position near the front of the standings.
The team will use Thursday’s running to establish its baseline before turning attention towards Qualifying and the three races.
CTMP carries personal significance for Larsen
The Canadian round also holds personal importance for Larsen, who has direct racing history at the circuit from its Mosport International Raceway era.
She and her father both competed there previously, giving the Kiwi Motorsport owner first-hand knowledge of the demands placed on drivers around the fast and technical layout.
“This is technically my home track. Both my dad and I raced here back in the day when it was called Mosport International Raceway. It is a fast and technical track that not only tests a driver’s focus, but also their precision. There is no room for error, and I am hoping that my experience will be able to help the future stars of open-wheel racing.”
That familiarity could prove useful for a line-up featuring drivers at very different stages of their development. While Shipman and several F4 U.S. drivers already have CTMP experience, others can benefit from the team’s existing knowledge during the limited preparation time.
Kiwi Motorsport prepares for busy CTMP schedule
Testing begins on Thursday before both championships move into Practice and Qualifying on Friday. FRAC will also hold its opening race on Friday afternoon, placing immediate importance on finding performance early in the weekend.
Saturday starts with F4 U.S. Race 1 before both series return to action later in the day for their second contests. The Canadian event then concludes on Sunday with the third and final races for both championships.
For Kiwi Motorsport, the six-car programme creates opportunities across several championship battles. Shipman remains firmly involved in the FRAC title race, while Campbell and Fourie continue their F4 U.S. campaigns near the front of the standings.
With Dass carrying podium momentum, Huerta rebuilding form and Kohut continuing his development, Kiwi Motorsport arrives at CTMP with several routes to a strong result on a circuit that carries both competitive and personal significance for the team.
