Kiwi Motorsport will field entries across Formula Regional Americas, Formula 4 United States and the Ligier Junior Formula Championship when all three series visit New Jersey Motorsports Park for their next rounds.
The weekend represents the fifth event of the 2026 FR Americas season and the fourth championship meeting for F4 U.S. and Ligier JFC. With each campaign moving deeper into the year, Kiwi Motorsport will arrive with drivers involved in several championship battles.
Cooper Shipman and Harbir Dass will continue the team’s two-car FR Americas programme, while Zach Fourie, Caleb Campbell, Ayden Kohut and returning driver Clemente Huerta form its four-car F4 U.S. line-up. Meanwhile, Jack Speth will attempt to extend his Ligier JFC Gen. 2 championship lead.
Shipman and Dass continue FR Americas campaign
Kiwi Motorsport will retain its established FR Americas pairing of Shipman and Dass for the New Jersey round.
Shipman has already secured multiple podium finishes during the opening four weekends and will look to continue that form as the championship enters its second half. His consistent front-running performances have established him as one of the team’s leading challengers during the 2026 campaign.
Dass has also demonstrated competitive pace throughout the season. Although his results have not always reflected that speed, Kiwi Motorsport believes he can remain involved near the front as the team targets another productive weekend.
Team owner Teena Larsen highlighted the progress both drivers have made as part of a programme that will again operate across three categories.
“We’re excited to get back on track with another full lineup across all three championships,” says Larsen. “Cooper and Harbir have continued to build momentum in FR Americas, while our F4 program has been incredibly competitive all season. It’s great to welcome Clemente back to the team, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish this weekend. Zach has been working hard on the sim and off the track in preparation for this weekend. Caleb and Ayden both have some exciting new looks to debut, and Jack has done an outstanding job leading the Ligier championship. Everyone has been working hard, and we’re ready for another strong weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park.”
Huerta returns to strengthen F4 U.S. line-up
Kiwi Motorsport will expand its F4 U.S. effort to four cars at New Jersey, with Fourie and Campbell continuing their championship challenges.
Both drivers have established themselves among the team’s strongest performers during the opening three rounds, giving Kiwi Motorsport multiple opportunities to score significant points as the title fight intensifies.
The weekend will also feature some visual changes within the programme. Campbell will debut a new helmet design, while Koh will race with a fresh livery on his car.
However, Huerta’s return provides the biggest change to the line-up. He previously raced for Kiwi Motorsport during the 2025 season and finished fourth in the overall championship standings.
That experience should allow Huerta to settle back into the operation quickly. Rather than approaching New Jersey as a learning weekend, he will return with the intention of immediately challenging near the front.
Fourie has also undertaken additional preparation away from the circuit, including simulator work ahead of the event. With four cars entered, Kiwi Motorsport will therefore have several opportunities to influence both the individual races and the broader championship picture.
Speth aims to extend Ligier JFC advantage
Speth will lead Kiwi Motorsport’s Ligier JFC challenge as the Gen. 2 championship leader.
He has established himself at the front of the standings through a strong opening three rounds and has consistently demonstrated race-winning pace. New Jersey therefore offers another opportunity to strengthen his advantage before the championship enters its closing stages.
His campaign also gives Kiwi Motorsport a championship-leading programme alongside its title contenders in FR Americas and F4 U.S.
While the team will balance the demands of three categories throughout the weekend, Speth’s position means every Ligier JFC session carries particular importance. A strong points haul could further increase the margin he has built during the first half of the season.
Kiwi Motorsport faces busy three-series schedule
Running simultaneously across three championships will give Kiwi Motorsport another demanding event programme.
Official testing will begin on Friday as the team works through set-up programmes with its FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier JFC cars. Qualifying will then take place on Saturday morning before each championship contests its opening race later that afternoon.
Sunday will bring an even busier schedule, with all three series holding two races to complete their respective weekends.
Consequently, Kiwi Motorsport will need to manage a substantial workload while adapting to changing circuit conditions and the different demands of each category.
The team nevertheless enters New Jersey with momentum across its programmes. Shipman and Dass continue to develop their FR Americas campaigns, Fourie and Campbell remain involved in the F4 U.S. title battle, Huerta returns with proven championship experience and Speth arrives at the top of the Ligier JFC standings.
Championship points become increasingly important
The New Jersey round arrives at an important stage of all three seasons.
FR Americas has already reached its fifth event weekend, while F4 U.S. and Ligier JFC will complete their fourth. As a result, opportunities to recover lost ground or extend championship advantages will become increasingly limited after the event.
Kiwi Motorsport will therefore target more than individual race results. Podiums and victories remain important, but consistent points across the complete weekend could prove equally significant as each championship begins to take shape.
Speth has an opportunity to protect and potentially extend an existing lead, while the team’s FR Americas and F4 U.S. contenders can strengthen their own positions.
With Huerta also returning to the operation and several drivers arriving with additional preparation or updated designs, Kiwi Motorsport will begin its New Jersey programme with one of its fullest line-ups of the season.
The action starts with official testing on Friday before Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday. Three further double-header programmes on Sunday will then bring another busy weekend of FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier JFC competition to a close.
