Kiwi Motorsport will return to action this weekend at Road America as the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC), Formula 4 United States (F4 U.S.) Championship and Ligier Junior Formula Championship continue in Wisconsin.
The Elkhart Lake venue offers one of the toughest tests of the season. As the longest circuit on the 2026 calendar, the four-mile Road America layout combines long straights, rolling elevation changes and heavy drafting opportunities. Therefore, Kiwi Motorsport will need speed, racecraft and discipline as it aims to build on a strong opening phase across all three championships.
Larsen praises strong early-season momentum
Kiwi Motorsport enters the second event of the campaign with confidence after a standout start to 2026. Team owner Teena Larsen believes the squad has created a strong platform, although she also recognises the size of the challenge ahead.
“We are very proud of the momentum we have built early in the season, but there is still a long way to go. Road America is one of the most iconic tracks in North America and definitely one of the biggest challenges on the calendar. The drivers and crew have been working incredibly hard, and we are excited to see what we can accomplish this weekend across all three series.”
Her comments underline the team’s balanced approach. While Kiwi Motorsport holds strong championship positions, Road America can quickly reward bold moves or punish small mistakes.
Shipman leads FRAC charge for Kiwi Motorsport as F4 U.S. line-up carries team lead
In FRAC, Kiwi Motorsport will field Cooper Shipman and Harbir Dass. Shipman arrives as the championship leader after an impressive opening round, giving the team a clear target as the field prepares for Road America’s high-speed demands.
Meanwhile, Dass sits 13th in the standings and will look to move closer to the top 10. With drafting likely to play a major role across the long straights, both drivers should have opportunities to attack and defend throughout the weekend.
The team also brings major momentum into F4 U.S. Kiwi Motorsport leads the teams’ championship, while Caleb Campbell and Zach Fourie hold first and second in the drivers’ standings. In addition, Ayden Kohut sits eighth overall, giving the squad three competitive entries for the second event of the year.
As a result, the F4 programme could prove central to Kiwi Motorsport’s weekend. Campbell and Fourie will aim to protect their positions at the front, while Kohut has the chance to climb further in the standings.
Finally, Kiwi Motorsport will complete its Road America line-up with Jack Speth in the Ligier JFC Gen 2 class. Speth currently sits second in the championship standings, so he arrives in Wisconsin with a strong opportunity to keep pressure on the leader.
Furthermore, the Road America layout should offer several chances for overtaking. Speth will aim to use those opportunities while maintaining consistency across the triple-header format.
Busy weekend awaits in Wisconsin
The weekend will begin with testing on Thursday, before practice and qualifying take place on Friday. Each championship will stage one race on Saturday, while Sunday will bring two further races for every class.
Consequently, Kiwi Motorsport faces a demanding schedule across its three programmes. However, with championship momentum already on its side, the team heads to one of North America’s premier road courses ready to strengthen its 2026 campaign.
