LN4 Fusion has confirmed its entry into the 2027 Wera Tools British F4 Championship, expanding its junior single-seater programme after acquiring a majority stake in Chris Dittmann Racing. The Lando Norris-backed organisation will field four cars during its debut season, with Chris Dittmann continuing as Team Principal of the British operation.

The announcement represents another important step in LN4 Fusion’s expansion following its launch in September 2026. The organisation has already secured places in Italian F4, the FIA Formula Regional European Championship (FREC), FIA Formula 3 and Formula 2 for 2027.

The British F4 operation has already begun testing, with preparations set to intensify ahead of the championship’s opening round at Donington Park on 10–11 April.

LN4 Fusion acquires majority stake in Chris Dittmann Racing

LN4 Fusion’s British F4 entry follows its acquisition of a majority stake in Chris Dittmann Racing, bringing an established British motorsport operation into its expanding development structure.

Founded in 2010, Chris Dittmann Racing has competed across several single-seater categories, including British Formula 3, GB3 and British F4. The Gloucestershire-based organisation entered British F4 in 2022, building on its previous experience developing drivers in the UK’s junior championships.

The team finished seventh in the 2026 British F4 Teams’ Championship, collecting 127 points across the 30-race campaign.

Under the new arrangement, Dittmann will retain his position as Team Principal, overseeing LN4 Fusion’s four-car British F4 programme.

The structure will combine his experience managing a British single-seater team with the wider resources and development ambitions of LN4 Fusion. Meanwhile, Dan Hazlewood will continue overseeing the organisation’s UK operations.

Although the team has already begun testing, LN4 Fusion has yet to announce the drivers who will represent it during the 2027 championship.

Richards highlights importance of British F4 expansion

LN4 Fusion CEO Dan Richards welcomed the confirmation, identifying British F4 as an important addition to the organisation’s growing junior racing programme.

The championship provides another entry point into single-seater competition for young drivers progressing from karting, complementing LN4 Fusion’s existing plans in Italian F4.

“Adding the F4 British Championship to our programme is an important step for LN4 Fusion. It is one of the most competitive Formula 4 series in the world and has a proven track record of developing future stars, so it was a natural place for us to be.

“Chris Dittmann brings years of experience and success in British motorsport, and with Chris leading the operation, we are confident we can make a strong start.

“We would like to thank the British F4 Championship and Motorsport UK for supporting us throughout the process, and we are looking forward to the start of the season.”

The announcement confirms a programme that LN4 Fusion had previously identified as a future objective. During its initial launch in September, the organisation outlined plans to establish a British F4 operation but had not yet secured a championship entry.

The acquisition and confirmation of four cars now provide a defined structure for its first season.

Hazlewood outlines preparations for British F4 debut

LN4 Fusion’s UK Managing Director Dan Hazlewood also highlighted the work involved in establishing the programme, particularly the importance of combining the organisation’s existing infrastructure with Dittmann’s experience.

Hazlewood previously spent more than 25 years developing Fusion Motorsport, overseeing its karting activities and supporting young drivers before their progression into single-seaters.

His responsibilities within LN4 Fusion include developing the organisation’s British racing operation and ensuring that its drivers have access to the preparation and support required to progress through the junior categories.

“Bringing this project together has been a real team effort, and I’m proud to see LN4 Fusion on the grid in British F4 from 2027. The UK is the heart of motorsport, and this championship is where so many careers take off.

“With Chris and his team on board, we have the experience and the structure to compete at the front, and everyone is working hard to be ready for Donington.”

With testing already underway, the team will continue preparing its cars, personnel and operational procedures before the opening race weekend.

Dittmann targets immediate competitiveness with LN4 Fusion

Chris Dittmann expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, which will allow him to continue leading the British F4 operation while benefiting from LN4 Fusion’s broader development structure.

The former racing driver has extensive experience managing junior single-seater programmes, having previously guided his team through several championship-winning campaigns.

He believes the new partnership provides an opportunity to strengthen the operation and establish itself among the leading British F4 competitors.

“I’m hugely excited to be joining forces with LN4 Fusion and continuing as Team Principal in British F4. As an ex-racer myself, I have always worked with a race-winning mentality and that aligns perfectly with LN4 Fusion’s ambitions. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity and their trust in me.

“I’ve had many years of success in Motorsport, but the time was right to take things to the next level. Bringing together my experience along with the support of the entire LN4 Fusion operation is going to create a formidable package. Our goal is to win from the outset, so we’ll be working tirelessly over the winter to achieve that. I can’t wait to get started!”

Dittmann’s continued leadership will provide continuity as the team transitions into its new identity. However, the organisation will face considerable competition from established British F4 teams, including reigning Teams’ Champions Hitech and Drivers’ Champions Rodin Motorsport.

British F4 prepares for ten-round 2027 calendar including Spa

LN4 Fusion will enter British F4 during a season that features several significant changes, including the championship’s first visit to Spa-Francorchamps.

The 2027 calendar comprises ten rounds, beginning at Donington Park on 10–11 April. The championship will subsequently visit Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Snetterton and Oulton Park before its international appearance.

Spa-Francorchamps will host Round 6 on 23–25 July, with British F4 joining the support programme for the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. The event will provide competitors with an opportunity to race on a current F1 circuit during a Grand Prix weekend.

The championship will then return to the United Kingdom for rounds at Croft, Donington Park and Silverstone before concluding at Brands Hatch in October.

British F4 will use the same car, engine and tyre specifications as Italian F4, providing a degree of technical consistency across LN4 Fusion’s two Formula 4 programmes.

The official 2027 British F4 calendar also confirms that eight rounds will support the British Touring Car Championship, maintaining the series’ established domestic platform.

British F4 entry strengthens LN4 Fusion’s junior development pathway

The confirmation of LN4 Fusion’s British F4 programme further expands the organisation’s presence across the international junior single-seater ladder.

Co-founded by 2025 Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, LN4 Fusion aims to develop a structure that allows drivers to progress from Formula 4 through Formula Regional and towards FIA Formula 3 and Formula 2.

The team has already secured its FIA F2 entry for the 2027–2029 championship cycle, joining the championship following its acquisition of selected AIX Racing assets and subsequent selection by organisers.

LN4 Fusion will also replace AIX Racing in FIA F3, where it has confirmed James Egozi, Gabriel Gomez and Dion Gowda as its inaugural driver line-up. Meanwhile, its FREC programme will introduce another development stage between Formula 4 and the higher international categories.

The British F4 programme provides an additional opportunity for young drivers entering single-seater racing, while the partnership with Chris Dittmann Racing brings established experience into the organisation’s expanding structure.

With its four entries secured, LN4 Fusion will now focus on finalising its driver line-up and continuing preparations ahead of its British F4 debut at Donington Park in April 2027.
