Red Camel-Jordans.nl claimed victory in the third edition of the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup after overcoming an early drive-through penalty to control the closing stages of the 12-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps.
Ivo Breukers, Luc Breukers, Rik Breukers and Fabian Danz shared the No.9 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992 I), recovering from a false-start penalty before establishing a two-lap advantage as darkness descended on the Belgian circuit. The result also gave the Dutch squad victory in the PRO class after it had finished second overall in the 2025 edition.
Theeba Motorsport by Quanloop EST1 Racing finished second overall and won PRO-AM with Paul Meijer and siblings Ali and Reema Juffali, despite fighting through electrical problems. AF Motorsport completed the overall podium and took second in PRO-AM after Dylan Pereira managed a significant fuel-saving challenge during the closing stages.
Breukers attacks Mühlner at the start
Mühlner Motorsport started from pole after AF Motorsport and Red Camel both lost their Top 5 Shoot-Out laps to penalties on Friday. Conrad Tox Leveau therefore led the field away at 09:45 local time, but Rik Breukers immediately launched an aggressive challenge from fourth.
Breukers attacked to the left of Leveau while LMR Motorsport’s Leandro Martins challenged on the other side. The Red Camel driver emerged second before immediately applying pressure to the polesitter and eventually took the lead at a slightly damp Pouhon.
He initially opened a small advantage, but officials soon handed both Breukers and Chazel Technologie Course’s Jean-Mathieu Leandri drive-through penalties for false starts. Their sanctions returned Leveau to the lead and temporarily undid Red Camel’s rapid opening progress.
Mühlner loses wheel as Red Camel recovers
The complexion of the race changed dramatically just over half an hour after the start when Mühlner’s front-right wheel detached at Stavelot.
Leveau managed to return the damaged Porsche safely to the pits, but Mühlner required another stop for further checks. The Belgian squad consequently lost three laps and surrendered the advantage it had inherited from the opening penalties.
Breukers, meanwhile, immediately began working his way back through the field after serving the drive-through. He soon reclaimed the lead ahead of the remarkable MM Racing entry, with Ali Juffali, Martins and AF Motorsport’s Angelo Fontana also featuring prominently.
Red Camel remained ahead after the first sequence of mandatory stops at roughly the 75-minute mark, with Danz leading from MM Racing and Reema Juffali.
Safety Car compresses leading battle
The first major neutralisation came when Speed Lover became stranded in the gravel, initially bringing out a Full Course Yellow before the Safety Car gathered the field.
That intervention brought Red Camel, MM Racing and Theeba Motorsport together on the lead lap and gave the chasing teams another opportunity to attack.
Meijer quickly demonstrated the pace that would eventually earn him the race’s fastest lap. He passed Mick Meurrens shortly after the restart to move into second, while Pereira managed to regain a lap on Ivo Breukers as AF Motorsport continued recovering through the order.
The race remained extremely fluid as mandatory stops, driver changes and penalties repeatedly altered the apparent order.
Meijer briefly takes lead before penalty
Theeba Motorsport became Red Camel’s strongest challenger during the middle part of the race.
Early in the fifth hour, Meijer attacked Breukers at Blanchimont and moved ahead on the road, but he completed the pass through the run-off area. Officials subsequently handed the No.22 Porsche a drive-through penalty.
Theeba stopped soon afterwards and dropped to third, although Meijer rapidly regained second by passing the MM Racing Porsche before returning to the overall lead within only a few laps.
His speed remained one of the defining features of the race, with the Dutchman eventually recording the fastest lap at 2m21.099s.
Theeba leads at halfway before Red Camel responds
Mandatory pit stops continued to rotate the order, and Ali Juffali led at the six-hour mark for Theeba Motorsport with a little more than 20 seconds in hand over Rik Breukers.
The advantage did not last. Breukers quickly closed the gap before retaking first and then began establishing a significant cushion over his rivals.
Within another half an hour, the Red Camel driver had stretched the lead towards two minutes over Steve Meurrens, while Reema Juffali ran third after taking over the Theeba entry from her brother.
From there, Red Camel gradually moved into a commanding position as Spa transitioned from daylight towards sunset.
Red Camel builds two-lap advantage
By the latter stages, the Dutch squad held a two-lap advantage over Theeba Motorsport and MM Racing.
Meijer continued to push and succeeded in reducing the deficit to a single lap ahead of the final hour, but Red Camel remained in control as the race entered complete darkness.
Theeba’s challenge had also required the team to overcome several electrical problems during the 12 hours. Despite those difficulties, Meijer and the Juffali siblings kept the No.22 Porsche in contention and secured a strong second overall alongside the PRO-AM class victory.
Red Camel ultimately completed its recovery from the opening drive-through and converted its long-running pace into overall victory, becoming the first team other than BLACK FALCON to win the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.
Late fuel drama changes final podium
The final minutes produced another significant change behind the leading pair.
MM Racing had delivered one of the stories of the event after only building its Porsche on Friday, forcing the team to miss both testing and Qualifying. Starting from the rear, Mick, Tom and Steve Meurrens climbed through the order and remained in contention for the overall podium throughout the 12 hours.
Their hopes of third disappeared when Mick Meurrens required a late fuel stop with fewer than eight minutes remaining. MM Racing consequently slipped to fourth overall, although the team still completed its remarkable weekend with victory in the AM-S class.
The late stop promoted AF Motorsport onto the final overall podium position. Pereira faced his own fuel concerns and had to drastically reduce consumption during the closing stages to reach the chequered flag, but managed to bring the No.17 home in third alongside Fontana, Andre Fernandes and Christian Potolicchio.
The result provided some consolation after AF Motorsport had originally topped Friday’s Shoot-Out before Pereira’s lap was deleted for a track-limits infringement.
LMR Motorsport secures AM-B victory
LMR Motorsport completed another strong weekend by taking victory in AM-B.
Dieter Svepes, Andre Marques and Leandro Martins combined to defeat HRT Performance’s Steven Gambrell, Seth Gilmore, Massimo Vignali and Tadao Uematsu by one lap.
LMR had started from the front row after Svepes finished just 0.047s away from Mühlner’s pole-winning Shoot-Out time, and although the team dropped out of the overall podium fight, it converted its pace into a class victory.
Chazel Technologie Course finished fifth overall and second in AM-S with Leandri, Gilles Colombani, Paul Trojani and Marc Guillot. The team recovered from Leandri’s opening false-start penalty to secure another prominent class result.
Mühlner recovers to sixth after early setback
Polesitter Mühlner Motorsport fought back to sixth overall following the dramatic wheel loss that effectively ended its chances of victory during the opening hour.
Leveau, Joshua Bednarski and Rolando Saca recovered much of the ground lost through the initial incident, but the three-lap deficit proved too substantial to overcome.
Speed Lover also endured a challenging race but reached the finish and secured third in AM-B with Kurt Hansen, Garry Terclavers and Nick Hunter.
For Red Camel-Jordans.nl, however, the third Michelin 992 Endurance Cup ended with the result it had narrowly missed in previous editions. After finishing third in the inaugural race and second in 2025, the Breukers family and Danz finally climbed to the top step at Spa with a controlled recovery from their early penalty.
