French racer Solenn Amrouche will compete in the 2026 GB4 Championship with Arden Motorsport, marking her first full season of racing in the United Kingdom. As a result, she becomes the first French driver confirmed in the history of the series.
Moreover, the 22-year-old joins an increasingly competitive grid as the championship continues to grow in stature.
A racing career shaped by experience
Amrouche brings a wealth of experience from multiple disciplines. As the daughter of GT champion Lionel Amrouche, she entered motorsport at the age of 12 following encouragement from Karen Gaillard. She quickly progressed and secured a regional karting title within four years.
Subsequently, she transitioned into car racing at 17 and competed across a wide variety of machinery, including GT and endurance categories. This diverse background has helped shape her adaptability as a driver.
In 2023, Amrouche achieved a major milestone by finishing Vice Champion in the Spanish GT Championship’s GPX category with Vortex SAS, racing alongside her father. During the season, she secured multiple class wins and podiums, as well as an outright victory at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
She continued to build her endurance credentials in 2024. Notably, she claimed a GTX class win in the 24 Hours of Barcelona and competed in other major endurance events at Portimão and Dubai. At the same time, she remained active in sprint formats such as the Ultimate Cup GT Sprint and Spanish GT.
Transition to single-seaters
Amrouche made her single-seater debut last year in the Ultimate Cup, driving Formula Regional machinery across Europe. Encouragingly, she adapted quickly to the discipline, scoring a podium at Aragón and adding 13 further top-10 finishes across 18 races.
Consequently, she finished fifth in the Rookie classification and seventh overall, underlining her potential in open-wheel racing.
Momentum ahead of GB4
Alongside her single-seater progress, Amrouche has continued to deliver strong results in endurance racing. She finished second in the GTX class at the 2025 24 Hours of Barcelona, setting the fastest lap, and secured third place in the 992 division of the Dubai 24 Hours earlier this year.
In preparation for her GB4 debut, she has also completed multiple test days over the winter, ensuring she arrives well-prepared for the season opener at Silverstone.
Amrouche has set clear targets for her debut campaign, particularly with regard to the Female Drivers classification and the €50,000 prize towards a potential F1 Academy opportunity.
“I am very proud to be making my debut in GB4 in the United Kingdom and to represent France in this championship. It is an important step in my single-seater progression, and I am really looking forward to starting the season to continue learning and gaining experience. My objective is clearly to fight for the title of top female driver.
“I am also delighted to be joining Arden Motorsport, a team that won this title last season. Their experience and expertise provide me with the ideal environment to develop and perform. We have all the tools to be competitive this year, and I am determined to make the most of this opportunity.”
Strong backing from Arden Motorsport
Team principal Garry Horner expressed confidence in Amrouche’s ability to adapt and develop further in GB4.
“We’re delighted to welcome Solenn to the team for this year’s GB4 Championship. She’s established a very good career for herself already in endurance racing, but experience in single-seaters will make her a more complete competitor.
“Judging by her results in the Ultimate Cup last year, she’s been able to make a strong adaptation, and by working with us in what looks set to be a very competitive GB4 season, she should make further strides forward. As a team, we won the Female Drivers prize with Ava Dobson in 2025, and I think Solenn should be a very strong contender for that with us in 2026.”
As the 2026 GB4 season approaches, Amrouche stands out as one of the most experienced newcomers on the grid. While she continues to refine her single-seater skills, her diverse background provides a strong platform for success.
With Arden Motorsport’s proven expertise and her own determination, Amrouche now aims to establish herself as a leading contender in both the overall standings and the female drivers’ category.
