Citroën Racing has appointed rising French motorsport star Doriane Pin as its official Development Driver, a smove that underlines the team’s commitment to nurturing elite young talent while sharpening its technical and competitive edge in the Formula E World Championship.
Pin will make her first official appearance with the team at the prestigious Monaco E-Prix double-header, where she will represent Citroën Racing for the first time.
The announcement comes off the back of a strong run of recent results for the team. Notably, Citroën Racing claimed a podium in the opening race in Berlin and followed it up with an impressive qualifying performance on the Sunday, all of which has helped build momentum heading into Monaco.
Although she sits at an early stage of what is already a remarkable career, Pin represents the next generation of elite French drivers. Her appointment carries particular weight for Citroën as a proudly French manufacturer, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to developing homegrown talent on the global stage of electric motorsport.
A key role in GEN4 development
Crucially, Pin will also support the development and refinement of the team’s upcoming GEN4 Formula E package, helping to optimise performance, energy management systems and software calibration ahead of the next generation of the championship. As part of this role, she will spend significant time behind the wheel, with multiple opportunities to drive Formula E machinery over the coming months.
