T-Code by Amtog has regained its Race 3 one-two finish from the 2026 Spanish F4 Championship round at Portimão after the RFEDA Appeal and Disciplinary Committee upheld the team’s appeal.

Nacho Tuñón and Andrej Petrović originally finished first and second on track at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. However, officials imposed post-race drive-through penalties, converted into 30-second time penalties, after determining that both drivers had exceeded the maximum permitted distance behind the Safety Car.

Those penalties dropped Tuñón and Petrović to 25th and 26th in the initial classification. Kasper Schormans subsequently inherited the victory ahead of Miki Blascos and Rocco Coronel.

However, the appeal committee has now declared Decisions 31 and 32 null and void. The official Spanish F4 results page consequently lists Tuñón as the Race 3 winner, with Petrović completing a restored T-Code one-two.

Appeal committee overturns both penalties

The RFEDA Appeal and Disciplinary Committee reviewed the process that led to the penalties imposed on the T-Code drivers.

A competitor who had not been directly involved in the alleged incident submitted the Enquiry Forms that initiated the procedure. The committee concluded that officials should not have admitted those forms and therefore annulled the resulting decisions.

Consequently, Tuñón and Petrović no longer carry the 30-second penalties that removed them from the leading positions.

The ruling restores the result that the pair achieved on track and changes both the Race 3 classification and the championship points awarded for the Portimão weekend.

Tuñón regains Race 3 victory

Petrović started Race 3 from pole alongside Tuñón after T-Code locked out the front row in Sunday qualifying.

An early incident brought out the red flag after Borys Łyżeń spun Nathan Tye, whose car became stranded at Turn 3. Following a delay of approximately 15 minutes, the field completed two laps behind the Safety Car before racing resumed.

Petrović initially led his teammate, but Tuñón increased the pressure as the race progressed. On lap 10, the Spaniard moved down the inside at Turn 5 and took control of the race.

Further incidents interrupted the action. Alfons Miettinen sustained terminal damage following contact with teammate André Rodríguez at Turn 5, while a front-left suspension failure sent Jean-Paul Karras into the Turn 1 gravel.

The second interruption created a one-lap contest to the chequered flag. Tuñón held the lead ahead of Petrović, while Schormans emerged from the battle behind to finish third on the road.

T-Code therefore secured a one-two finish before the penalties temporarily changed the outcome.

With the appeal now concluded, Tuñón officially takes his first victory of the season. Petrović receives second-place points, while Schormans moves back to third. Blascos occupies fourth, with Coronel completing the top five.
