With the 2025 London E-Prix just around the corner, Nick Cassidy has confirmed he will be leaving Jaguar TCS Racing at the end of the current Formula E season. Speaking exclusively to Pit Debrief, the New Zealander opened up about his time with the team and what lies ahead.
A successful Season 10
Cassidy’s departure comes after what has been a landmark season for Jaguar, who announced the decision was made by mutual agreement. The 2024/2025 Formula E campaign has seen the British squad secure their first-ever Teams’ World Championship title, a milestone achieved with Cassidy playing a key role.
Cassidy had already scored 176 points in Season 10, delivering two wins, six podiums, five fastest laps, and a pole position. He had entered the final two races in London having delivered four victories, seven additional podiums, seven fastest laps, and two poles for Jaguar, racking up an impressive 278 points in their championship-winning campaign.
Reflecting on his time with Jaguar, Cassidy told Pit Debrief: “Honestly, I would say it’s been very successful. The stats have been really incredible.”
Reflecting further, Cassidy said, “I’m very proud, but I hope that the stats have not finished counting. I hope to add more points this weekend and really finish on a high.”
Experience as a key memory
As a key driver in Jaguar’s Gen3 development, Cassidy highlighted his extensive experience from the past two seasons.
“I think ultimately I’m just going to take forward experience,” he said. “I feel like I’ve played a big part in this Gen 3 3.5 car with Jaguar. Ultimately, it’s been great for us and our relationship to keep developing in that way. And I can just take that experience with me in the future.”
As questions mounted about his next move in Formula E, Cassidy chose to stay silent on what lies ahead.
“Not yet,” he said. “But I hope in the future I can.”
Cassidy aims to end his time with Jaguar on a high, chasing a strong result in front of the London E-Prix crowd to cement his legacy.
