Jesse Carrasquedo had the opportunity of a lifetime during his 2025 Formula Regional Middle East season, to step up to F3 for two rounds. These rounds took place in Barcelona and Spielberg, unfortunately earning him no points.

Carrasquedo took this opportunity by its reins, and showed strong effort. While his first round showed that he needed time to adjust and improve, he truly dazzled in Spielberg.

The Spanish Round

Making his Formula 3 debut in Barcelona, Carrasquedo was capable of no more than P27 in Qualifying, landing ahead of three full time drivers. Despite this, the Mexican kept it clean during the Sprint Race in order to finish P23. The only drivers finishing behind him were those with a DNF result.

The Feature Race proved just as tricky for Carrasquedo, finishing P25, yet again the final driver to finish the race. While the Spanish GP was not his strongest, Carrasquedo had one more round to prove himself.

The Austrian Round

Another clean Qualifying session in Spielberg for Carrasquedo allowed him to Qualify P24. His luck turned around in the Sprint Race, where he fought his way up to P14, narrowly out of the point paying positions. The Mexican driver’s fortune continued into the Feature Race where he managed to climb up to P15, narrowly missing points again.

The season that meant more than it seemed

While Carrasquedo was only given two rounds to prove himself in 2025, he both disappointed and impressed. Thankfully, his efforts throughout his rounds of competition this season have seen him rewarded with a full time drive in 2026, with Van Amersfoort Racing’s F3 team.

Our eyes now shift to 2026, in search of the performance Carrasquedo could potentially bring. While his two rounds in 2025 were up and down, the Mexican is sure to bounce back in 2026.
