Rafael Câmara has strengthened his position at the top of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 (F2) Drivers’ Championship following Feature Race 2 at the Azerbaijan GP, leaving Baku seven points ahead of Nikola Tsolov.
Câmara entered the final race of the weekend with a one-point advantage following Feature Race 1. The Invicta Racing driver finished second on the road in Feature Race 2 but inherited victory after Alex Dunne received a five-second penalty for crossing the white line at pit entry. His 25-point haul takes him from 182 to 207 points.
Tsolov recovered from 11th on the grid to finish second and collect the fastest-lap bonus point, moving onto 200. Dunne drops from first on the road to third in the final classification but remains firmly involved in the title fight on 189 points. Gabriele Minì, Dino Beganovic and Noel León retain fourth, fifth and sixth respectively, while Martinius Stenshorne strengthens seventh after starting from pole.
Câmara extends Championship lead to seven points
Câmara arrived in Feature Race 2 on 182 points after taking the Drivers’ Championship lead for the first time during Friday’s opening Feature Race. With only one point separating him and Tsolov and Dunne sitting another seven points behind, the final Baku race offered another opportunity for the order to change significantly.
The Brazilian started third behind the two Rodin Motorsport cars of Stenshorne and Dunne. He gained time through the Virtual Safety Car pit-stop sequence and emerged ahead of Dunne, although the Irishman quickly reclaimed the position once his tyres reached temperature. Rather than force an unnecessary battle, Câmara remained close enough to Dunne to capitalise when the Rodin driver received his five-second penalty.
Dunne crossed the line first, but the penalty promoted Câmara to victory. The 25 points increase his total from 182 to 207 and extend his championship advantage from one point to seven. It also gives Câmara his third Feature Race victory of the season after previous wins in Barcelona and Spa-Francorchamps.
Tsolov limits the damage with charge to second
Tsolov began the race from 11th after receiving a grid penalty, leaving the Campos Racing driver with significant ground to recover while his two closest championship rivals started inside the top three.
He steadily climbed through the field and gained further ground during the pit-stop sequence before passing Laurens van Hoepen and eventually Stenshorne. Tsolov then closed rapidly on Câmara and Dunne during the final laps, setting the fastest lap in the process.
Dunne’s penalty promoted Tsolov to second, giving him 18 points for the position and another one for fastest lap. His 19-point gain takes him from 181 to 200, meaning his deficit to Câmara increases by six points from the single-point gap after Feature Race 1.
However, Tsolov remains firmly within range heading into the final two rounds. Only seven points now separate the two rookies at the top of the Championship.
Dunne remains third after costly penalty
Dunne leaves Baku third in the Drivers’ Championship despite losing a potential second victory of the weekend through his five-second penalty.
The Rodin Motorsport driver had already made one of the largest gains in the standings by winning Feature Race 1 from pole, which moved him from 146 to 174 points and reduced his deficit to the Championship lead to only eight.
Starting second for Feature Race 2, Dunne moved ahead of Stenshorne during the pit-stop sequence before passing Câmara for the effective lead. However, he crossed the white line at the pit entry and received a five-second penalty. Although he crossed the line first, the sanction dropped him behind both Câmara and Tsolov in the final classification.
Third still adds 15 points and takes Dunne from 174 to 189. He remains third but now sits 18 points behind Câmara and 11 behind Tsolov. After arriving in Baku 38 points off the Championship lead, Dunne leaves considerably closer following a Sprint podium, Feature Race 1 victory and another podium in Feature Race 2.
Minì retains fourth as Beganovic and León add points
Gabriele Minì remains fourth in the Drivers’ Championship after taking ninth in Feature Race 2. The MP Motorsport driver adds two points to move from 161 to 163, but the leading three continue to pull away. Câmara now sits 44 points ahead, compared with Minì’s 21-point deficit after Feature Race 1.
Beganovic also retains fifth following another points finish. The DAMS Lucas Oil driver had already enjoyed an excellent Baku weekend with victory in the Sprint Race and third in Feature Race 1. He recovered from 12th on the Feature Race 2 grid to finish seventh, adding six points and moving from 131 to 137.
León remains sixth after taking eighth. The Campos Racing driver adds four points and moves from 129 to 133, leaving him only four behind Beganovic. The pair therefore remain closely matched heading into Qatar, although both have lost ground to the three drivers at the head of the Championship.
Stenshorne strengthens seventh
Stenshorne continues to pull away from the closely packed group behind him after another productive race for Rodin Motorsport.
The Norwegian had already climbed from 10th to seventh with second place in Feature Race 1. He then started Feature Race 2 from pole after leading Rodin’s second Baku Qualifying lockout.
Stenshorne led the opening portion of the race before the Virtual Safety Car periods disrupted the strategy order. Dunne, Câmara and Tsolov eventually moved ahead, leaving Stenshorne fourth at the chequered flag. The result adds 12 race points, while his second Qualifying pole contributes another two to his Baku Feature Race 2 column. He moves from 93 to 107 points and remains seventh.
His advantage over the next group consequently grows to 17 points. Joshua Dürksen, Kush Maini and van Hoepen all now sit level on 90.
Three drivers tied on 90 points
Dürksen and Maini both remain on 90 points after failing to score in Feature Race 2. The pair had already been level following Friday’s race, with Dürksen holding eighth and Maini ninth on countback.
Van Hoepen joins them on 90 after finishing fifth in Feature Race 2. The TRIDENT driver produced a strong strategy to move into contention near the front and ultimately collected 10 points, taking him from 80 to 90.
Despite joining Dürksen and Maini on points, van Hoepen remains 10th on countback. The trio now sits 17 points behind Stenshorne, creating another close battle heading into the final two rounds.
Boya gains as lower order remains largely unchanged
Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Ritomo Miyata remain 11th and 12th respectively after both retired from Feature Race 2. Inthraphuvasak stays on 71 points, while Miyata remains one behind on 70. Rafael Villagómez also failed to score and remains 13th on 42, with John Bennett 14th on 38 and Oliver Goethe 15th on 37.
Roman Bilinski collects the final point from 10th place to move from 35 to 36 but remains 16th. Sebastián Montoya stays 17th on 30, followed by Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. on 28 and Colton Herta on 26.
Mari Boya makes the only positional gain in the lower portion of the standings. The PREMA Racing driver finishes sixth in Feature Race 2, adding eight points to move from 13 to 21. He consequently climbs from 21st to 20th, moving ahead of Nico Varrone, who remains on 15 points. Cian Shields stays 22nd on 10, while Hiyu Yamakoshi completes the standings with two points.

The official Drivers’ Championship standings leave Câmara seven points clear of Tsolov, with Dunne another 11 points behind in third.

Câmara therefore leaves the supersized Baku round with the Championship lead after entering the weekend seven points behind Tsolov. Dunne has also brought himself much closer to the leading pair, while Minì loses further ground despite retaining fourth.
Behind them, Beganovic and León remain separated by only four points, while Stenshorne has created breathing room in seventh. Dürksen, Maini and van Hoepen now form a three-way tie on 90 points.
Campos retains Teams’ Championship lead
Campos Racing remains at the head of the Teams’ Championship following another strong contribution from Tsolov and León.
The team entered Feature Race 2 on 310 points. Tsolov’s second place and fastest lap add 19, while León contributes another four with eighth. Campos therefore moves onto 333 points and retains the lead.
However, its advantage over Invicta Racing falls slightly. Câmara’s victory provides Invicta with 25 points, moving the team from 272 to 297. That reduces Campos’ lead from 38 points after Feature Race 1 to 36 following the final Baku race.
Rodin closes to one point behind Invicta
Rodin Motorsport continues to make the largest gains among the leading teams following another double points finish.
After Dunne and Stenshorne completed a one-two in Feature Race 1, Rodin had already reduced its deficit to Invicta from 39 points to only five. Feature Race 2 closes that gap even further.
Dunne’s third place adds 15 points, while Stenshorne contributes 14 through fourth place and his Qualifying pole. The resulting 29-point haul moves Rodin from 267 to 296, leaving the team only a single point behind Invicta.
Rodin also reduces its deficit to Championship leader Campos from 43 to 37 points. With two rounds remaining, only 37 points therefore cover the leading three teams.
DAMS strengthens fifth as TRIDENT and PREMA gain
MP Motorsport remains fourth after Minì provides the team’s only points from Feature Race 2. His ninth place adds two to take MP from 198 to 200 points.
DAMS Lucas Oil retains fifth following points for both Beganovic and Bilinski. Beganovic adds six for seventh, while Bilinski’s 10th place contributes one. DAMS consequently moves from 166 to 173 and extends its advantage over ART Grand Prix from five to 12 points. ART fails to score and remains on 161.
TRIDENT makes the largest gain further down the order through van Hoepen’s fifth place. His 10 points take the team from 118 to 128, strengthening seventh place ahead of Hitech, which remains on 96 after neither driver scored.
PREMA Racing also gains eight points through Boya’s sixth-place finish, moving from 43 to 51. Van Amersfoort Racing stays ninth on 59, while PREMA remains 10th and closes the gap to eight points. AIX Racing completes the standings on 38.

Campos leaves Baku with a 36-point advantage over Invicta, two fewer than it held after Feature Race 1. The closest battle sits directly behind, where Rodin has reduced a 39-point deficit to Invicta after the Sprint Race to just one point following its exceptional pair of Feature Races.
Câmara leads as F2 heads to Qatar
Baku has transformed both title battles. Tsolov arrived in Azerbaijan with a seven-point Drivers’ Championship advantage over Câmara, but the Invicta driver now leaves with the same seven-point margin in his favour. Dunne has also turned what had been a 38-point deficit entering the weekend into an 18-point gap after three consecutive podium finishes.
Two rounds remain on the 2026 calendar. F2 returns at Lusail from 27–29 November before the season concludes at Yas Marina from 4–6 December. With Câmara, Tsolov and Dunne separated by only 18 points and the top three teams covered by 37, both Championships remain firmly open heading into Qatar.
