Alex O’Grady has taken the lead of the 2026 GB4 Drivers’ Championship standings following a dramatic third round at Donington Park.
The KMR Sport driver leaves the circuit with 184 points, moving 11 clear of previous leader Fred Green. Enzo Hallman remains firmly involved in third on 168 points, meaning only 16 points separate the leading three after nine races.
Luke Hilton has surged into fourth following a breakthrough weekend for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing, while Dayton Coulthard’s second victory of the season has lifted him to fifth.
O’Grady takes lead as Green limits Donington damage
O’Grady entered Donington Park second in the championship, 13 points behind Green. Although widespread track-limits penalties prevented him from starting either of the opening two races from the pole positions he had initially secured, the Irish driver recovered sufficiently across the weekend to take control of the standings.
He climbed from 10th to sixth in Race 1 and finished directly behind Joshua McLean. Green recovered from 18th on the amended grid to take 10th, allowing O’Grady to reduce the championship deficit before Sunday’s two races.
The decisive swing came in Race 2. Green’s contest ended at Goddards on the opening lap, leaving the Elite Motorsport driver without points. O’Grady, meanwhile, avoided the repeated incidents and advanced from 14th to fourth, taking the championship lead before the final race of the weekend.
O’Grady consolidated that advantage in Race 3 by gaining six positions and finishing fourth. Green was forced to take the restarted race from the pit lane but charged back to sixth, limiting the damage and remaining within 11 points of his new championship rival.
O’Grady therefore leads on 184 points, with Green second on 173.
Hallman remains close as Hilton surges into fourth
Hallman remains third in the standings after another eventful weekend for Hillspeed. The Swedish driver recovered from 19th to eighth in Race 1 and recorded the fastest lap. He then finished 11th in Race 2 after a late incident at the Melbourne Hairpin disrupted his progress.
However, Hallman produced one of the strongest recovery drives of the weekend in Race 3. Starting 24th, he climbed 19 positions to finish fifth and again set the fastest lap. The result leaves him on 168 points, only five behind Green and 16 behind O’Grady.
Behind the leading three, Hilton made the largest move near the front of the championship.
The Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing driver converted his inherited Race 1 pole into his maiden GB4 victory before following Coulthard home in second in Race 2. He then gained six positions in the reversed-grid contest to secure third and complete a clean sweep of Donington podiums.
Hilton scored 85 points across the weekend and climbed from 12th to fourth in the standings. He now has 146 points, placing him 38 behind O’Grady.
Coulthard climbs to fifth as Pace Performance pair advance
Coulthard has moved into fifth on 131 points following a weekend that included two podiums and a retirement. The Douglas Motorsport driver finished third in Race 1 before passing polesitter Demitri Nolan at the start of Race 2. He controlled both Safety Car restarts and claimed his second victory of the season, continuing a run of three consecutive podium finishes.
However, Coulthard was one of six drivers eliminated during the original opening lap of Race 3. Despite failing to score in the final contest, he leaves Donington 15 points behind Hilton and 18 ahead of Thomas Ingram Hill.
Ingram Hill has slipped from fourth to sixth after a difficult round. He finished 11th in Race 1, retired from Race 2 and recovered to 13th in Race 3, taking his total to 113 points.
Torrin Byrne and McLean have moved into seventh and eighth respectively after a productive weekend for Pace Performance. Byrne’s charge from 17th to third in Race 2 delivered his first GB4 podium, while further points in the other two contests lifted him to 111.
McLean sits five points behind his teammate on 106. He finished fifth in Race 1 before retiring from the second contest, but responded by overcoming two starts, a red flag and a Safety Car period to claim his second victory in successive race weekends.
Franciszek Cegielski has climbed to ninth and remains the leading rookie on 101 points. His maiden overall podium in Race 1 was followed by ninth-place finishes in Races 2 and 3.
Matan Achituv completes the top 10 with 95 points, five ahead of Elite Motorsport teammate Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso.

Hillspeed strengthens Teams’ Championship lead
Hillspeed remains at the top of the Teams’ Championship and has increased its total from 194 to 282 points.
The team experienced mixed fortunes during the first two contests, but Nolan’s second place and Hallman’s recovery to fifth helped it score 44 points in Race 3. Hillspeed now holds a 36-point advantage over Douglas Motorsport.
Douglas remains second on 246 points following Coulthard’s Race 1 podium and Race 2 victory. However, the team failed to score in the reversed-grid contest after Coulthard and Conor Grant were eliminated during the opening-lap incident.
Pace Performance has moved from fifth to third after strong contributions from Byrne and McLean. The team now has 234 points, placing it only 12 behind Douglas and three ahead of Fortec Motorsports.
Fortec occupies fourth on 231 points after Cegielski scored in all three races and Jordyn Martin added further points. KMR Sport follows in fifth on 215, with much of its Donington total coming from O’Grady’s three top-six finishes.
Elite Motorsport remains sixth on 195 points, while Hilton’s victory and three podium finishes have helped Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing climb to seventh on 188.
Scorpio Motorsport holds eighth with 116 points. Arden Motorsport, Fox Motorsport and Idola Motorsport complete the order.

Championship battle remains close after Donington Park
Donington Park has changed the championship order, but the battle at the front remains closely contested.
O’Grady has replaced Green at the top, although his 11-point advantage leaves little margin for error. Hallman remains only 16 points away from the lead, ensuring the leading three continue to be separated by less than the points available for a victory in either of the opening two races at an event.
Hilton’s Donington performance has established him as the strongest driver immediately behind the leading group. Coulthard also remains within reach following his victory, while only 25 points separate Ingram Hill in sixth from Achituv in 10th.
Hillspeed has created a more substantial advantage in the Teams’ Championship, but Douglas Motorsport, Pace Performance and Fortec Motorsports remain separated by only 15 points in the fight behind the leader.
The 2026 GB4 season resumes with Round 4 at Silverstone, with the event scheduled to run from July 30 to August 2.
