Alessandro Pier Guidi set the fastest time in the final warm-up session ahead of the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans as Ferrari claimed the top two positions.

The Italian driver completed a best lap of 3:26.540 in the No. 51 Ferrari 499P during the uneventful 15-minute session. As a result, he finished 0.356 seconds clear of Antonio Fuoco in the sister No. 50 entry.

Pier Guidi will share the No. 51 Ferrari with James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi during the race.

Toyota follows Ferrari in third

Sébastien Buemi led Toyota’s challenge by placing the No. 8 TR010 Hybrid third overall. Buemi recorded a 3:27.001 lap, leaving him 0.461 seconds behind Pier Guidi’s benchmark. Meanwhile, Frédéric Makowiecki placed the No. 36 Alpine A424 fourth.

Daniel Juncadella followed in fifth aboard the No. 19 Genesis GMR-001, while Mike Conway set the best time for the second Toyota in the No. 7 car.

Ferdinand Habsburg placed the No. 35 Alpine seventh before Earl Bamber recorded the eighth-fastest lap in the No. 38 Hertz Team JOTA Cadillac V-Series.R.

Pole-winning BMW sits outside top 10

Kevin Magnussen completed the session in the pole-winning No. 15 BMW M Hybrid V8.

However, the Dane could only place 12th and finished 2.6 seconds behind Pier Guidi’s leading time.

Two of the 18 Hypercars failed to record a lap. The No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari remained without a time, while the No. 94 Peugeot 9X8 also ended the session without completing a timed effort.

Nevertheless, the short and trouble-free warm-up allowed most teams to complete final system checks before the race.

Quinn leads closely contested LMP2 field

Alexander Quinn placed CrowdStrike Racing by APR at the top of the LMP2 order.

Quinn produced a 3:37.111 lap in the team’s Oreca 07 Gibson and beat Mathias Beche by just nine thousandths of a second. Beche therefore placed the No. 14 TDS Racing Oreca second in the session.

Job van Uitert ranked third in the No. 28 IDEC Sport entry, which will start the race from the front of the LMP2 field.

Esteban Masson followed in the No. 29 Forestier Racing by Panis Oreca. The car originally set the fastest Hyperpole time but will start second following a penalty.

Corvette controls LMGT3 warm-up

TF Sport-run Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R machinery occupied the first two positions in LMGT3. Jonny Edgar led the class with a 3:54.825 lap in the No. 33 Corvette. Ben Green followed in second aboard the JMR-branded No. 2 entry as he prepared for his Le Mans debut. Maxime Martin completed the top three in the No. 61 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

Almost the entire 62-car field took part in the session. Only the No. 13 Autosport Corvette remained in the garage throughout the 15 minutes.

Ferrari carries momentum into race start

Ferrari completed the final pre-race session with a clear statement by placing its two factory Hypercars at the top of the order.

Although warm-up times provide only a limited indication of race performance, the result gave the Italian manufacturer a positive end to its preparations. Toyota, Alpine and Genesis also remained close to the leading pace.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans will begin at 4 p.m. local time and 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
