Ricardo Escotto will return to AIX Racing for the final two rounds of the 2026 F3 season at Monza and Madrid, continuing a partnership that began with his championship debut in Barcelona.

The Mexican driver has already competed for AIX at Barcelona, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps this year, recording a best result of 22nd in the Barcelona and Spa Sprint Races. He will now return after the summer break for Monza from 4–6 September before contesting the inaugural Madrid finale one week later.

Escotto continues AIX Racing partnership

Escotto first joined AIX Racing for Barcelona in June, replacing Brad Benavides and making his FIA F3 debut after beginning the year in Indy NXT. At the time, Team Manager Kenny Kirwan highlighted the 21-year-old’s pace and work ethic as the team focused on helping him adapt to a new car, tyres and championship environment.

AIX subsequently brought Escotto back for Silverstone and Spa, allowing the Mexican to continue building experience in the car across very different circuits. Although he has yet to score his first championship point, the team believes his progress extends beyond what his results alone show.

Kirwan particularly praised the work Escotto has completed away from the race weekends as he continues adapting to Formula 3.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ricardo back to the team for the remaining rounds of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. Ricardo has made significant progress throughout the season, and we’ve seen first-hand how much work and commitment he has put in to continue developing as a driver.

“A lot of that progression has come through the hard work he has been doing behind the scenes, away from the spotlight, with the engineers and the wider team. His attitude, professionalism and determination have been excellent, and he has continued to push himself and the team forward. We’re looking forward to seeing him back in the car and building on that progress together through the final rounds of the championship.”

Monza and Madrid offer final opportunities for progress

Escotto now has two more weekends to translate that development into stronger results. His return also gives him continuity with a team and engineering group he already knows rather than requiring another adjustment during the closing stages of the campaign.

Monza will mark his fourth FIA F3 appearance of the year before Madrid presents an entirely new challenge for the championship at its season finale. The two events form a back-to-back conclusion to the shortened 2026 calendar.

For Escotto, the objective will centre on building upon the progress AIX believes he has made since Barcelona. With three weekends of experience already completed, Monza and Madrid provide his final opportunities of 2026 to convert that work into a step forward on the results sheet.
