Dan Ticktum started P1 after claiming a back-to-back Monaco pole position, beating António Félix Da Costa by an impressive 0.676s. Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara lined up P3, alongside Jean-Éric Vergne in P4, as Felipe Drugovich completed the top five.

Race 2 of the Monaco E-Prix began with a strong start from Ticktum. Drama struck early as Mortara spun Da Costa around at the Nouvelle Chicane, dropping him to P15. Mortara soon inherited the lead as Ticktum dropped back two places, but was soon given a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with Da Costa. Meanwhile, Müller went for an early Attack Mode that saw him go from P11 to the race lead.

Norman Nato marked the first retirement as he brushed the wall at Turn 11 after Barnard attempted a move down his inside. Race Control was quick to hand Barnard a 10-second penalty for the collision. By Lap 11, Evans charged to the lead with a brave move on Müller.

Later, a tight battle between Mortara and Müller allowed Drugovich through to P2. Meanwhile, Sébastien Buemi and Maximilian Günther collided at the Hairpin, leaving Günther with a 5-second penalty. A few moments later, a Full Course Yellow (FCY) was implemented after Müller and Vergne made contact, and Martí and Cassidy collided at Turn 18 after the Spaniard suffered from understeer. Penalties flew, with Barnard receiving another 10 seconds, while Ticktum received a 5-second penalty for overspeed under the FCY.

Another FCY came out with 2 laps remaining as Barnard found the wall. Through it all, it was Rowland who took victory, saving energy to go from P8 to P1.
