Fred Green completed his 2026 GB4 campaign with a fourth Omologato One to Watch Award after producing a perfect points haul across the opening two races of the Brands Hatch season finale.
The Elite Motorsport driver won both conventional-grid contests as he attempted to keep his championship hopes alive, scoring the maximum 70 points available. His performance earned him the award for the fourth time during the season and made him the most successful recipient of the 2026 Omologato competition.
Green delivers perfect Brands Hatch performance
Green entered the Brands Hatch season finale as Alex O’Grady’s nearest championship challenger, with 49 points separating the pair before the final three races. He immediately strengthened his chances by securing both pole positions for the weekend’s conventional-grid contests.
He then converted the first pole into victory during Race 1 at Brands Hatch. Green controlled the contest from the front and finished more than two seconds clear as he continued his championship challenge.
The British driver followed that performance with another victory in Race 2, building a 5.163-second advantage by the chequered flag. Although O’Grady’s second-place finish secured the Drivers’ Championship, Green had completed a perfect opening two races and collected all 70 points available towards the Omologato award.
Consequently, the Elite Motorsport driver secured the final Omologato One to Watch Award of the 2026 season.
Fourth Omologato award completes strong 2026 campaign
The Omologato One to Watch Award recognises the highest-scoring driver across the opening two races of each GB4 event weekend, with the winner receiving a timepiece from the motorsport-focused watchmaker.
Green secured the prize at four of the seven rounds during the 2026 campaign. He started the season with a maximum 70-point score at Silverstone before adding another award at Oulton Park with 64 points.
His next award came during the penultimate round at Donington Park. Green scored another 64 points across the opening two races, having started the weekend with victory over championship rival O’Grady in Race 1 at Donington.
He then matched his opening-round maximum at Brands Hatch, taking 70 points from his two victories. As a result, Green finished the campaign with awards from Silverstone, Oulton Park, Donington Park and Brands Hatch.
Green finishes season as leading Omologato award winner
Green ended the year with twice as many One to Watch Awards as any other driver.
Luke Hilton emerged as the only other multiple recipient, scoring 64 points to take the award at the first Donington Park round before adding another at Silverstone with 59 points. Meanwhile, eventual GB4 champion O’Grady claimed the Snetterton prize with the maximum 70 points.
Green’s fourth award also complemented a strong conclusion to his first GB4 campaign. His Brands Hatch performance began with a double pole in Qualifying before he won both conventional-grid races.
He ultimately finished second to O’Grady in the final 2026 GB4 Drivers’ Championship standings, ending the campaign on 412 points compared with the champion’s 445.
Brands Hatch caps Green’s 2026 campaign
Green’s Brands Hatch double therefore brought his Omologato campaign to a fitting conclusion. He scored 70 points at both the opening Silverstone round and the Brands Hatch finale, while his Oulton Park and Donington Park performances delivered 64 points apiece.
Those four victories in the One to Watch competition left Green comfortably ahead of the other recipients and reflected the pace he demonstrated across the 2026 season.
Although O’Grady ultimately secured the Drivers’ Championship, Green concluded the year with two victories at Brands Hatch and his fourth Omologato One to Watch Award, ending his rookie GB4 campaign as the award’s most successful driver of 2026.
