GT World Challenge (GTWC) Europe powered by AWS has revealed a 10-round 2027 calendar featuring the returns of Imola and the Hungaroring.

GTWC Europe will stage five Endurance Cup events and five Sprint Cup rounds across eight countries between April and October. Eight venues retain their places from the 2026 schedule, while Imola returns for the first time since 2022 and the Hungaroring rejoins the championship after an eight-year absence.

Circuit Paul Ricard will open the campaign with a six-hour race in April, while Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will once again host the Endurance Cup finale in late October.

Paul Ricard retains GTWC Europe season opener

GTWC Europe will begin its 2027 season at Circuit Paul Ricard from 16–18 April.

The French venue will stage a six-hour Endurance Cup race on Saturday evening, continuing the format used for the championship’s opening event.

Teams will then travel to Brands Hatch for the first Sprint Cup round on 1–2 May. The Kent circuit has featured on the GTWC Europe schedule since 2014 and will once again launch the short-format championship.

Imola returns in place of Monza

Imola will host the second Endurance Cup round from 21–23 May, subject to final agreement.

The Emilia-Romagna venue returns to GTWC Europe for the first time since 2022 and will make its third appearance on the calendar. It will stage a three-hour race as the championship continues its early-season Italian leg.

Imola takes the place of Monza, which has planned circuit improvement work during its usual GTWC Europe date. Therefore, Monza will drop from the 2027 schedule while another historic Italian circuit takes over its Endurance Cup slot.

Spa remains centrepiece of Endurance Cup season

The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will remain the biggest event on the GTWC Europe calendar.

The Belgian endurance classic will stage its 79th edition from 23–27 June. As usual, it will serve as the third Endurance Cup round and the centrepiece of the wider GTWC Europe campaign.

GTWC Europe will then return to Sprint Cup competition at Misano from 16–18 July. The Italian circuit will host the series for a 13th consecutive season.

Magny-Cours follows two weeks later from 30 July–1 August, creating a compact pair of Sprint Cup meetings during the middle of the European summer.

Nürburgring and Zandvoort begin final run

The Nürburgring will host the fourth Endurance Cup event from 27–29 August.

The German venue remains one of GTWC Europe’s established circuits and will again stage a three-hour contest as the championship enters the second half of its campaign.

Zandvoort will then welcome the Sprint Cup field from 17–19 September. Its narrow layout, fast corners and coastal conditions will provide another distinct challenge before the championship travels to Budapest.

Hungaroring returns as Sprint Cup finale

The Hungaroring will return to GTWC Europe from 1–3 October and host the final Sprint Cup round of the season.

The Budapest circuit previously staged four championship events between 2016 and 2019. However, it has remained absent from the schedule since then.

GTWC Europe will return following significant redevelopment work at the venue. The circuit will now decide the Sprint Cup titles before the Endurance Cup campaign concludes three weeks later.

Barcelona retains Endurance Cup finale

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will close the 2027 GTWC Europe season from 22–24 October.

The Spanish circuit will stage the fifth Endurance Cup round and bring the overall championship battle to a conclusion.

As a result, GTWC Europe will end its season almost six months after the opening race at Paul Ricard. The calendar will also maintain a balance between established venues and returning circuits throughout the campaign.

Support championships join GTWC Europe programme

Several SRO championships will continue to form part of the GTWC Europe support package in 2027.

The GT4 European Series will compete at six rounds, including the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. Meanwhile, the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli will stage all five of its events alongside GTWC Europe.

The GT3 Revival Series will join three weekends, including its first appearance on the Spa support programme. The Mustang Challenge Spa Invitational will also return as part of the Belgian event’s on-track schedule.

SRO will confirm the full support packages and the dates for the Paul Ricard and Spa Prologues at a later stage.
