Reza Seewooruthun will step up to the FIA Formula 3 (F3) Championship with Rodin Motorsport for the 2027 season, continuing his relationship with the British team following their 2026 Formula Regional campaign together.
The 20-year-old becomes Rodin Motorsport’s second confirmed driver for next season alongside Pedro Clerot, who will remain with the team for a second F3 campaign. In 2027, Seewooruthun will make his F3 championship debut after progressing through British F4, GB3 and Formula Regional during his rapid rise through the junior single-seater ranks.
Seewooruthun continues with Rodin for F3 step
Seewooruthun joined Rodin Motorsport for the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship after previously competing in GB3. Pit Debrief covered his move to the team ahead of the season, which marked another step in his progression after several years racing primarily in British junior categories.
His 2026 campaign has so far included two podium finishes. Seewooruthun also demonstrated strong outright pace at several stages of the season, including leading the opening Collective Test at Monza and qualifying on the front row at the Hungaroring before finishing third in Race 1.
That season followed a 2025 GB3 campaign in which Seewooruthun finished fifth in the standings. His move into Formula Regional therefore represented the next stage of his preparation before graduating to FIA Formula 3.
Seewooruthun will now remain within the same team structure as he makes that step.

Rapid progression through the junior categories
Seewooruthun only graduated from karting in 2022 before beginning his first full season in cars with the Ginetta Junior Championship the following year. He then moved into single-seaters and competed across British F4, UAE F4 and Euro 4 during 2024.
His British F4 campaign established him as one of the leading drivers in the field. Seewooruthun took race victories during the season before moving into GB3 for 2025, where he finished fifth in the Drivers’ Championship.
Rodin subsequently brought him into its new Formula Regional programme for 2026. Seewooruthun also competed for the team during the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy alongside Alex Ninovic and Maxim Rehm before continuing into the European campaign.
The continuation with Rodin gives Seewooruthun an element of stability as he prepares for the considerably larger step into FIA Formula 3.
Rodin backs Seewooruthun’s development
Rodin Motorsport Sporting Director Benn Huntingford highlighted Seewooruthun’s progression during their Formula Regional campaign when confirming his promotion.
“It’s great to see Reza continuing his development with the team as he steps up to FIA Formula 3. He’s shown some promising pace throughout his time in FREC and secured two podiums this season, which have been important milestones in his progression. We’re looking forward to building on that experience with him and seeing what he can achieve in F3.”
The move also continues Rodin’s approach of promoting drivers through its wider junior programme. Seewooruthun already knows the team’s working methods and engineering structure from Formula Regional, reducing one element of adaptation ahead of his rookie F3 season.
He will join Clerot in Rodin Motorsport’s 2027 line-up. The Brazilian will return for his sophomore campaign after finishing sixth in the 2026 standings, collecting five podiums and ending the season with his maiden victory during the Madrid finale.
Rodin enjoyed its strongest FIA F3 season to date in 2026, finishing sixth in the Teams’ Championship with 161 points.
With Clerot providing a year of F3 experience and Seewooruthun continuing his progression within a familiar environment, Rodin Motorsport has now filled two of its three seats for the 2027 campaign.
