TAG Heuer F1 Academy driver Aiva Anagnostiadis will miss Round 6 of the F1 Academy season, at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025 after fracturing her left foot. The injury rules her out of the Marina Bay Street Circuit race, forcing the team to make a late change to their driver lineup.
Megan Bruce to step into TAG Heuer seat
In Anagnostidis’ absence, Megan Bruce will take the wheel of the TAG Heuer car operated by Hitech TGR. The British driver is currently competing in her second season of the GB4 Championship, where she has impressed and currently sits 16th in the Driver Standings.
Last week, Bruce took part in the 2025 F1 Academy Rookie Test session held in Navarra and finished fourth in the morning session and second in the afternoon session with a time of 1:47.325.
Through this, she demonstrated her readiness to step into the F1 Academy machinery, and her debut appearance in Singapore will mark a significant opportunity to gain experience at an international level, especially on one of the most challenging circuits in the Championship.
Challenges of Singapore
The Singapore GP is one of the toughest events on the F1 Academy calendar. Its tight street layout, combined with high heat and humidity, demands precise driving and absolute focus. For any driver, stepping into a new car under these conditions is both a challenge and an opportunity to make an impression.
Previous drivers, such as Ella Lloyd in 2024, have successfully made their debut in Singapore, scoring points and securing their future seats.
Recovery and expectations
With only one round remaining after Singapore, Anagostiadis will focus on her recovery and is expected to return for the 2025 season finale in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Bruce as she navigates her first F1 Academy competition under the high-pressure conditions of the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
