Ayhancan Güven set the fastest time on the second day of the 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Prologue after leading Wednesday afternoon’s session at Spa-Francorchamps.

The Turkish driver delivered a 2m16.953s in the #22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche 911 GT3 R EVO, putting Porsche back on top during the final five hours of running. However, Güven’s effort was not enough to beat Christopher Haase’s overall Prologue benchmark from Tuesday morning.

Haase therefore ended the two-day test as the fastest driver overall, thanks to the 2m16.535s he set in the #84 Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II on the opening day. Alessio Picariello remained second in the combined classification after posting a 2m16.577s for Boutsen VDS Porsche on Tuesday afternoon.

Loake masters wet morning conditions for Garage 59 McLaren at the 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Prologue

The second day began with regular rain showers, which made the morning session considerably slower than Tuesday’s dry running. Joseph Loake made the most of the conditions in the #59 Garage 59 McLaren, setting a 2m22.212s to lead the opening three-hour session.

Last year’s pole-sitting car produced its best lap at the right moment, giving Loake a commanding 1.837s advantage over the rest of the field. As a result, Garage 59 topped a session in which timing and track conditions played a major role.

Tim Heinemann placed second in the #60 JMW Motorsport Ferrari, while Chris Lulham followed in third for Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing. Arthur Leclerc was fourth in the #50 AF Corse Ferrari, with Simon Gachet completing the top five in the #111 CSA Racing McLaren.

The spread across the top five underlined the difficulty of the morning session. Almost four seconds covered the leading cars, showing how much the changing weather affected lap times and tyre performance around Spa-Francorchamps.

Güven leads Porsche response in improved afternoon running

Conditions improved significantly after the lunch break, allowing teams to move much closer to Tuesday’s pace. Güven capitalised in the #22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche, setting a 2m16.953s to top the afternoon session and the second day overall.

Nico Menzel came closest in the #79 Tsunami RT Porsche, giving the 911 GT3 R EVO the top two places in the session. Both the Schumacher CLRT and Tsunami RT entries are one-off additions for the 24 Hours, making their pace especially notable ahead of the June race.

Lucas Auer placed third overall in the #48 Mercedes-AMG Team Mann-Filter entry, continuing the German manufacturer’s presence near the front. Ezequiel Perez Companc followed in fourth for Saintéloc Racing Audi, while Eddie Cheever completed the top five in the #93 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Porsche.

The afternoon order again highlighted Porsche’s strength across the Prologue. Although Audi retained the fastest time of the test through Haase, Porsche consistently featured at the sharp end across both days and several classes.

Haase keeps overall Prologue honours for Eastalent Racing Audi

Despite Güven’s late push, Haase remained the fastest driver of the two-day Prologue. His 2m16.535s from Tuesday morning stood as the overall benchmark after 16 hours of running across two days at Spa-Francorchamps.

Picariello stayed second overall for Boutsen VDS Porsche, just 0.042s behind Haase after setting his 2m16.577s during Tuesday afternoon’s session. Güven’s Wednesday time placed him among the leading contenders, but left him 0.418s short of the Audi driver’s best.

That final order gave Audi the headline result, but Porsche left the Prologue with significant momentum. The 911 GT3 R EVO showed strong pace in both dry and improving conditions, while several Porsche entries delivered front-running performances across the overall and class classifications.

Porsche tops three classes as 2026 Spa 24 Hours Prologue picture takes shape

The Prologue proved especially successful for Porsche, which led three of the other four class categories by the end of the two-day test. The #10 Boutsen VDS Porsche topped the Gold Cup, while the #89 Lionspeed GP Porsche led the Bronze Cup.

Tsunami RT also put Porsche at the head of Pro-Am with the #79 entry, adding further strength to the manufacturer’s Prologue performance. The only non-Porsche class leader came in Silver Cup, where the #66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi set the pace.

Those class results matter ahead of Spa because traffic, consistency and clean execution will be central to the 24-hour race. With five categories sharing the circuit, every class contender must combine outright speed with disciplined race management.

70-car Spa 24 field prepares for June race

The 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will take place from 24-28 June with a 70-car GT3 field. The entry list features 18 cars in Pro, nine in the Gold Cup, 16 in the Silver Cup, 19 in the Bronze Cup and eight in Pro-Am.

Porsche will be the best-represented brand with 16 cars, followed by Mercedes-AMG with 11. BMW, Ferrari and McLaren will each bring eight cars, while Aston Martin will field seven. Audi will have six entries, with Corvette, Ford and Lamborghini each represented by two cars.

That depth gives the Prologue added importance. Teams have now completed two days of testing in mixed conditions, giving them useful data on wet running, dry pace, tyre behaviour and traffic management.

Although Güven ended Wednesday on top, Haase’s Tuesday benchmark ensured that Eastalent Racing Audi left Spa with the fastest time of the Prologue. However, Porsche’s strength across the overall order and class categories suggests that the fight for the 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa could be especially close when the field returns in June.
