Keanu Al Azhari ended the two 2026 Eurocup-3 Official Collective Test sessions at Imola with the fastest time after Kacper Sztuka established the opening benchmark.
Sztuka led the first session for Tecnicar by Amtog with a 1:36.451, while Al Azhari and championship leader James Egozi finished within 0.117 seconds. However, the Hitech driver moved to the top during the second test with a 1:36.025, beating Egozi by one tenth.
Palou Motorsport showed strong collective pace through Egozi, Rafael Perard and Heitor Dall’Agnol. Meanwhile, Griffin Core by Campos placed four cars inside the opening-session top nine, and several rookies featured prominently across both classifications.
Sztuka sets the opening Imola benchmark
Sztuka led Official Collective Test 1 after completing a 1:36.451 on the 20th of his 21 laps. His effort placed Tecnicar by Amtog at the top by 0.114 seconds.
Al Azhari took second for Hitech with a 1:36.565, while Palou Motorsport’s Egozi followed only 0.003 seconds behind. Therefore, just 0.117 seconds covered the leading three drivers.
Griffin Core by Campos rookie Alex Powell finished fourth with a 1:36.877. Palou Motorsport rookie Dall’Agnol followed in fifth, 0.106 seconds behind Powell.
Griffin Core by Campos also placed Enzo Tarnvanichkul, rookie Thomas Strauven and Patrick Heuzenroeder inside the top nine. As a result, the team ended the opening session with four cars among the leading runners.
MP Motorsport rookies René Lammers and Ean Eyckmans took seventh and 10th respectively. Only 0.742 seconds separated Sztuka from Eyckmans, highlighting the close margins near the front.
Red flags also disrupted the session. Officials deleted the best laps set by Hitech rookie Santino Panetta and Tecnicar by Amtog’s Nacho Tuñón after each driver caused a stoppage.

Al Azhari raises the standard in the second test
Al Azhari moved to the top during Official Collective Test 2 and set the fastest time of the day.
The Hitech driver completed a 1:36.025 on lap 19 of his 24-lap programme. He improved on Sztuka’s opening benchmark by 0.426 seconds and ended the session 0.100 seconds clear of Egozi.
Egozi maintained his consistent start with second place after finishing third in the opening test. His Palou Motorsport teammate Perard climbed to third and led the rookies with a 1:36.187.
Eyckmans also progressed during the second session. The MP Motorsport rookie improved to fourth with a 1:36.287, finishing 0.262 seconds behind Al Azhari.
Sztuka took fifth with a 1:36.518, while Powell followed only 0.002 seconds behind in sixth. Drivex rookie El Feghali secured seventh ahead of Dall’Agnol and MP Motorsport’s Gianmarco Pradel.
Strauven completed the top 10 for Griffin Core by Campos. Six rookies finished inside that group, while the leading 10 drivers remained within 0.727 seconds of Al Azhari.
Palou Motorsport placed three drivers inside the top eight through Egozi, Perard and Dall’Agnol. Meanwhile, Hitech ended the session with the overall benchmark despite Santino Panetta, Genaro Trappa and Stefan Bostandjiev finishing outside the top 10.
Another red flag affected the running, with officials deleting Bustamante’s best lap after she caused the stoppage.

Al Azhari takes the early advantage at Imola
Overall, Al Azhari ended the two tests with the fastest time after improving substantially during the second session. Sztuka still demonstrated strong pace by leading the opener before taking fifth later in the day.
Egozi produced the most consistent challenge. The championship leader finished third and second across the two sessions, while Palou Motorsport strengthened its showing through Perard and Dall’Agnol.
Griffin Core by Campos displayed considerable depth during the opening test, while MP Motorsport placed Eyckmans fourth during the faster second session.
The rookie field also made another strong impression. Powell led the group in the opener before Perard took over in the second test, while Eyckmans, El Feghali, Dall’Agnol and Strauven all secured top-10 positions.
