Elia Weiss left Autodrom Most at the top of the 2026 F4 Central European Zone (CEZ) Championship after winning all three races he contested during a dominant Round 4 weekend. The Jenzer Motorsport driver seized the lead at the start of Race 2 before adding victories in Race 3 and the full-field finale.

However, Weiss did not claim every win available in northern Bohemia. Max Karhan converted the fastest overall Qualifying time into a home victory during a wet Race 1, leading fellow Czech driver Teo Borenstein across the line in a Jenzer Motorsport one-two.

Borenstein had already established Jenzer’s pace by topping Friday’s combined Free Practice classification, while Karhan led a Qualifying order in which the Swiss team occupied the first four combined positions. Jenzer then completed a perfect weekend by winning all four races and extending its substantial Teams’ Championship advantage.

David Walther arrived at Most with a 13-point lead over Weiss but surrendered first place despite recording three podium finishes. Weiss now heads Walther by 14 points, while Borenstein sits another 10 points behind after finishing second in each of his three races.

Borenstein establishes Jenzer’s early advantage in Free Practice

F4 CEZ returned from an eight-week summer break with a 40-car entry for the Racing Journal Speed Fest. The size of the field required organisers to retain the split-group format used during the opening half of the season, with 19 drivers competing in the first Free Practice heat and another 20 taking part in the second.

Borenstein led Heat 1 with a 1:32.838 and defeated Cram Motorsport’s Simon Rechenmacher by only 0.013 seconds. Francesco Pio Coppola followed in third for Technorace Competition, while Walther and Mathilda Paatz completed the leading five.

Weiss controlled Heat 2 with a 1:33.030, placing him 0.128s ahead of teammate Karhan. Aleksandar Bogunovic finished third for ABA Racing by SG Motors, while Antonio Errigo and Leo Nilsson completed the top five. Borenstein’s earlier benchmark therefore gave him the fastest overall time, with Rechenmacher, Weiss and Karhan closely matched behind him.

2026 F4 CEZ Autodrom Most Qualifying: Karhan leads Jenzer sweep on home soil

Borenstein again led the opening group during Qualifying, setting a 1:32.808 to finish 0.590s ahead of Walther. Rechenmacher placed third ahead of Coppola, while Paatz narrowly defeated Zasov for fifth.

However, the second heat produced the two fastest laps of the morning. Weiss led much of the session before Karhan moved ahead with a 1:32.768, beating his teammate by only 0.007s.

Silkunas finished third in the heat and fourth in the combined classification, giving Jenzer the four fastest overall times through Karhan, Weiss, Borenstein and Silkunas. Walther placed fifth overall, ahead of Rechenmacher, Bogunovic, Coppola, Häkkinen and Paatz.

Organisers then used the combined results to create three groups. Each driver contested two of the first three races before the highest-ranked competitors progressed to the full-field finale.

2026 F4 CEZ Autodrom Most Race 1: Karhan masters wet conditions to win at home

Light but persistent rain arrived before the Group A and B race, leaving significant standing water across the circuit. Every driver selected wet tyres, while Race Control started the contest behind the Safety Car because the spray and limited visibility made a conventional start unsafe.

Karhan led Borenstein, Walther, Silkunas, Bogunovic and Coppola when Race Control released the field after two laps. The leaders safely negotiated the opening chicane, and the first 14 drivers retained their positions during the opening green-flag lap.

Karhan initially created a comfortable advantage at the front, but a small mistake allowed Borenstein to close within three tenths. The Czech driver immediately responded with faster sectors and rebuilt his lead, while Borenstein remained safely ahead of Walther.

Further back, Pedersen passed Lo Bue around the outside of the penultimate corner, while Bulbarelle lost several positions through two off-track moments. Treneski also defended the final points-paying position against Rudokas, Pasko and the recovering Lo Bue.

Karhan eventually crossed the line 0.318s ahead of Borenstein to claim his second victory of the season in front of his home crowd. Walther completed the podium ahead of Silkunas and Bogunovic, while Borenstein recorded the fastest lap with a 1:51.065.

Officials added five seconds to Errigo and Olert’s results. They also disqualified Rudokas and Lo Bue from the amended provisional classification.

2026 F4 CEZ Autodrom Most Race 2: Weiss wins twice-red-flagged contest

Another shower reached Most before the Group B and C race, although the light rain did not persuade any drivers to switch from slick tyres. Borenstein started from pole alongside Weiss, with Silkunas and Rechenmacher sharing the second row.

Weiss produced the stronger launch and moved into the lead through the opening left-right sequence. Contact further back damaged Zasov’s front wing and forced him into the pits, while Simeonova spun but continued.

Bruno then stopped beside the circuit, prompting a Safety Car period before Race Control displayed the first red flag. Weiss retained the lead when the contest resumed with 13 minutes remaining, while he, Borenstein and Rechenmacher immediately pulled away from the rest of the field.

Errigo then made contact with Gorcica, briefly sending his Technorace car into the air and damaging its front-left suspension. The stranded car caused another Safety Car period, and Race Control restarted the race with three minutes remaining.

However, Race Control displayed the red flag again only seconds after the restart. Borenstein lost his front wing and dropped down the order during the brief green-flag period, but officials used the previous completed lap for the classification and restored him to second.

Weiss therefore claimed his first victory of the weekend by 0.509s over Borenstein, while Rechenmacher completed the podium. Coppola finished fourth ahead of Häkkinen and Danielsson, who both recorded their strongest results of the season.

2026 F4 CEZ Autodrom Most Race 3: Weiss takes second win after Rechenmacher penalty

Karhan and Weiss shared the front row for Sunday morning’s Group A and C race, with Walther and Rechenmacher directly behind them. Weiss again made the better start and beat Karhan into Turn 1, while Rechenmacher passed Walther for third.

The four leading drivers remained closely matched during the opening stages, but a heavy crash for Bruno soon interrupted the contest. Race Control initially deployed the Safety Car before displaying the red flag while marshals recovered the car and repaired the affected area.

Officials restarted the race with fewer than 10 minutes remaining. Weiss retained the lead ahead of Karhan, Rechenmacher and Walther, while Bogunovic held fifth ahead of Häkkinen and Paatz.

The race did not remain green for long. Polak spun at the same section where Bruno had crashed, prompting another Safety Car before Race Control displayed a second red flag and ended the contest.

Weiss finished 0.489s ahead of Karhan to claim his second win from two starts. Rechenmacher crossed the line third, but officials added 10 seconds for a jump start and dropped him to 23rd, promoting Walther onto the podium ahead of Bogunovic and Häkkinen.

2026 F4 CEZ Autodrom Most Race 4: Weiss completes perfect hat-trick

Weiss started the full-field finale from pole alongside Karhan, while Borenstein and Walther occupied the second row. Weiss again launched cleanly and reached the opening chicane with a clear advantage, but a major incident unfolded behind him.

Danielsson missed her braking point and triggered a multi-car crash that eliminated Häkkinen, Paatz, Rechenmacher and Pedersen alongside the STEP Motorsport driver. Race Control immediately displayed the red flag while marshals recovered the damaged cars and cleared debris from the circuit.

Officials restarted the race behind the Safety Car, and Borenstein immediately challenged Karhan when green-flag running resumed. The two Jenzer drivers made light contact at the opening chicane but continued, with Borenstein eventually completing the pass for second.

Weiss started to extend his lead before Bulbarelle left the circuit with 12 minutes remaining. Race Control deployed another Safety Car and subsequently stopped the race for a second time.

The final restart came with six minutes remaining. Weiss maintained first place ahead of Borenstein, while Walther passed Karhan for third and Bogunovic followed him through into fourth.

Borenstein remained within approximately one second of his teammate but could not create a realistic overtaking opportunity. Weiss eventually won by 0.630s to complete a perfect three victories from three starts, while Walther recorded his third third-place finish of the weekend.

Bogunovic finished fourth ahead of Karhan, Coppola and Silkunas. A 10-second penalty dropped Gorcica from eighth on the road to 18th, promoting Nilsson, Zasov and Olert into the final three top-10 positions.

Borenstein recorded the fastest lap with a 1:33.111. Officials added five seconds to Gaspar’s result and 10 seconds to Gorcica’s time.

Weiss overturns Walther’s F4 CEZ championship lead

Weiss entered Round 4 on 154 points, 13 behind Walther, but collected the maximum 75 points from his three starts. His perfect weekend moved him to 229 and gave him a 14-point advantage with two rounds remaining.

Walther scored third place in each race he contested and added 48 points to his total. Although that consistency kept the Maffi Racing driver firmly in contention, it could not prevent Weiss from reclaiming the championship lead.

Borenstein also made significant progress through three second-place finishes. He moved from 145 to 205 points and now sits only 10 behind Walther, while Karhan’s victory, second place and fifth-place finale lifted him to 184.

Rechenmacher remains fifth despite leaving Most without a podium in the final classifications. Silkunas strengthened sixth place and retained the Rookie lead, while Bogunovic moved ahead of Zasov after scoring fourth place in Race 3 and Race 4.

Jenzer Motorsport extends dominant Teams’ Championship advantage

Jenzer Motorsport claimed every victory available at Most, with Karhan winning Race 1 before Weiss swept the remaining three contests. Borenstein also finished second in all three of his starts, while Silkunas, Zasov and Häkkinen added further points across the group races and finale.

The team consequently increased its total from 416 to 614 points. Maffi Racing remains second on 232, while Cram Motorsport follows on 200 after Rechenmacher’s Race 2 podium and Nilsson’s consistent scoring.

Mathilda Racing occupies fourth ahead of Technorace Competition, while Bogunovic’s two fourth-place finishes helped ABA Racing by SG Motors reach 101 points.

Häkkinen retains narrow Woman Trophy advantage

Häkkinen retained first place in the Woman Trophy after finishing fifth in Race 2 and Race 3. However, her opening-lap retirement from the finale prevented her from creating a larger advantage over Paatz.

Paatz finished seventh in the wet opener and sixth in Race 3 before the same Race 4 incident ended her weekend. Only seven points now separate the Jenzer and Mathilda Racing drivers, while Sabaj remains third on 193.

Silkunas strengthens Rookie classification lead

Silkunas strengthened his Rookie classification lead through fourth in Race 1 and seventh in the full-field finale. He now holds 193 points, while Rechenmacher remains second on 156 despite his penalties and Race 4 retirement.

Zasov occupies third ahead of Erik Poulsen and Häkkinen. Pedersen moved to 102 points, placing him one ahead of Errigo when the published totals are arranged from highest to lowest.

The official provisional sheet does not assign updated position numbers to the Rookie classification. The order below therefore follows the published points totals from highest to lowest.

Conclusion: Weiss transforms the title fight with Most treble

Round 4 produced Weiss’ strongest performance of the 2026 campaign. He made the decisive move at the start in each of his three races and retained control through repeated Safety Car periods and red flags, turning a 13-point deficit into a 14-point championship lead.

Karhan also delivered a memorable home performance. He topped the combined Qualifying order before controlling the wet opening race and responding calmly when Borenstein closed the gap during the final stages.

Borenstein did not add another victory to his season total, but three second-place finishes kept him firmly within the championship battle. Walther also limited the damage through three podiums, leaving the leading three drivers separated by only 24 points.

Meanwhile, Jenzer Motorsport completed a perfect sweep of the four races and placed two cars inside the leading two positions in Race 1, Race 2 and Race 4. The team’s 382-point advantage over Maffi Racing underlined its control of the Teams’ Championship.

F4 CEZ will resume at Automotodrom Brno from 11–13 September for the penultimate round of the season. Weiss will arrive as the championship leader, but Walther, Borenstein and Karhan all remain within one race victory of first place.
