Porsche has moved to the top of the 2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) Manufacturers’ standings following Lionspeed GP’s victory at the CrowdStrike 24H of Spa.
The German manufacturer now leads Mercedes-AMG by eight points after turning a nine-point deficit into a championship advantage. BMW remains third, while Ferrari has climbed into fourth following its first IGTC podium of the season.
Maro Engel has strengthened his Drivers’ Championship lead after finishing second with Mann-Filter teammates Luca Stolz and Lucas Auer. Engel now sits 17 points clear of Stolz, while previous joint leader Maxime Martin has dropped to third after failing to score in Belgium.
Meanwhile, Kerong Li continues to control the Independent Cup despite Prince Jefri Ibrahim taking victory at Spa.
Engel moves clear at the top of the Drivers’ standings
Engel entered Round 3 level with Martin on 50 points at the head of the championship. However, their fortunes differed considerably at the 24H of Spa. Engel shared the No. 48 Mann-Filter Mercedes-AMG with Stolz and Auer, with the trio delivering a fast and error-free performance to finish second.
The result added 18 points to Engel’s total and moved him to 68. He now holds a 17-point advantage over Stolz, who has climbed from third to second with 51.
Martin remains on 50 after the GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG retired on Saturday evening. Therefore, the Belgian has fallen from a share of the lead to third, one point behind Stolz.
Mercedes-AMG continues to occupy the leading three positions in the Drivers’ standings. Mikael Grenier and Fabien Schiller also sit inside the top eight with 25 points each, while Auer has entered the table on 18 following his Spa appearance.
Buus and Feller lead Porsche’s title charge
Bastian Buus and Ricardo Feller have moved into championship contention after winning the 24H of Spa alongside Thomas Preining. The Lionspeed GP crew started from the pit lane following an engine change but recovered through the 69-car field to claim Porsche’s first victory at the event since 2020.
Buus earned 25 points and increased his championship total to 47. He now sits fourth, only three points behind Martin and four behind Stolz.
Feller follows in fifth on 46 points, while Preining has entered the standings on 25 after making his first IGTC appearance of the season.
Dorian Boccolacci has also increased his total to 24 after helping the Boutsen VDS Porsche finish eighth. Matt Campbell holds 22 points, with Laurin Heinrich one further back on 21.
Porsche therefore has five drivers within 30 points of Engel. Although none leads the Drivers’ Championship, the manufacturer has built a broad group of contenders behind the Mercedes-AMG trio.
Hesse retains sixth as BMW loses ground at the 2026 CrowdStrike 24H of Spa
Max Hesse remains BMW’s leading championship contender after finishing sixth at Spa with Daniel Harper and Valentino Rossi. Hesse added eight points and increased his total to 38. However, he now trails Engel by 30 and Feller by eight. Meanwhile, Harper has climbed to seventh on 26 points, while Rossi moves to 10th with 23.
Augusto Farfus and Raffaele Marciello each hold 19 points. Sheldon van der Linde and Dries Vanthoor remain on 18 after failing to add to their totals during the third round.
BMW continues to place several drivers throughout the standings, but the marque did not match the points collected by Porsche or Mercedes-AMG’s leading crews at the 24H of Spa. As a result, its strongest driver now sits 13 points behind Stolz and 12 behind Martin.
Ferrari drivers enter the championship after Spa podium
Alessio Rovera, Tommaso Mosca and Nicklas Nielsen have entered the Drivers’ standings with 15 points each after finishing third. The pole-sitting AF Corse Ferrari displayed race-winning speed but lost considerable time through two punctures and 40 seconds of pit-stop penalties. Nevertheless, the crew recovered to finish only 0.7 seconds behind the Mann-Filter Mercedes-AMG.
Meanwhile, Arthur Leclerc, Sean Gelael and Lilou Wadoux each collected 10 points after finishing fifth in AF Corse’s second Ferrari.
The result has given Ferrari seven additional representatives in the Drivers’ standings. However, its leading trio remains 53 points behind Engel after the manufacturer failed to score during Round 2 at the Nürburgring.

Porsche takes Manufacturers’ Championship lead
Porsche entered the 24H of Spa second in the Manufacturers’ standings with 55 points, nine behind Mercedes-AMG.
However, Lionspeed’s victory and Schumacher CLRT’s fourth-place finish earned the marque 37 points in Belgium. Porsche has consequently increased its total to 92 and moved into the championship lead.
Mercedes-AMG scored 20 points through Mann-Filter’s second-place finish and now holds 84. Therefore, Porsche gained 17 points relative to its principal rival across Round 3 and converted its previous deficit into an eight-point advantage.
The result represents a major turnaround following the Nürburgring, where Mercedes-AMG had taken control of both the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ classifications.
BMW remains third as Ferrari moves ahead of Ford
BMW has retained third in the Manufacturers’ standings but has lost contact with the leading two marques. The manufacturer collected 14 points at Spa and increased its total to 67. It now trails Porsche by 25 points and Mercedes-AMG by 17.
Ferrari produced the largest gain behind the leading three. AF Corse’s third and fifth-place finishes earned the marque 25 points, increasing its total to 35. As a result, Ferrari has moved clear of Ford and into fourth. However, it remains 32 points behind BMW.
Ford added four points at Spa and sits fifth on 14. Chevrolet completes the table with four after JMR’s Pro-Am victory contributed one point to the manufacturer’s total.

- Porsche – 92
- Mercedes-AMG – 84
- BMW – 67
- Ferrari – 35
- Ford – 14

Porsche’s eight-point advantage leaves the title fight open with two rounds remaining. However, the manufacturer now controls the championship after trailing Mercedes-AMG following each of the opening two events.
Li maintains commanding Independent Cup lead
Kerong Li continues to lead the Independent Cup despite finishing second to Ibrahim at Spa. Li entered Round 3 with 50 points after taking maximum scores at Bathurst and the Nürburgring. His second-place result added 18 points and increased his total to 68.
Ibrahim earned 25 points after winning Pro-Am with the JMR Corvette. He has moved from fifth to second in the standings with 35 but remains 33 behind Li.
Johannes Zelgar completed the Independent Cup podium at Spa and now holds third on 23. He has moved ahead of Kenny Habul, Jonathan Hui and Ralf Bohn, none of whom scored during Round 3.
Li remains the only Independent Cup competitor to score at all three events. That consistency gives him a substantial advantage despite Ibrahim ending his winning run in Belgium.
2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC): Standings after the 24H of Spa (Round 3): Independent Cup
- Kerong Li – Porsche – 68
- Prince Jefri Ibrahim – Chevrolet – 35
- Johannes Zelgar – Porsche – 23
- Kenny Habul – Mercedes-AMG – 18
- Jonathan Hui – Ferrari – 15
- Ralf Bohn – Porsche – 12
- Adrian D’Silva – Porsche – 0
Li’s 33-point advantage places him in a strong position entering the final two rounds. However, Ibrahim has emerged as his closest challenger after taking the maximum score at Spa.
Round 3 transforms the championship picture
The 24H of Spa has changed both of IGTC’s principal title fights.
Engel has moved clear in the Drivers’ standings, while Stolz has climbed into second and Martin has dropped to third. However, Engel is expected to prioritise his DTM programme during the remaining events at Suzuka and Indianapolis, which could create an opportunity for the chasing group.
Buus and Feller now sit within five points of second place after Lionspeed’s victory. Porsche therefore has two leading drivers positioned to capitalise should the Mercedes-AMG contenders miss rounds or encounter difficult results.
The Manufacturers’ Championship has experienced an even larger swing. Porsche entered Spa nine points behind Mercedes-AMG but leaves eight ahead, while BMW has fallen 25 points away from the lead.
Li continues to dominate the Independent Cup through his consistency, although Ibrahim’s victory has reduced the gap and established a clear second-place challenger.
The Intercontinental GT Challenge continues with the Suzuka 1000km from 11–13 September, where Porsche will defend its new manufacturers’ lead and the availability of the leading drivers could reshape the championship once again.
