As the grid headed to Qualifying, Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard led the field out of the final practice, followed shortly by Louis Foster and Kyle Kirkwood. Meanwhile, CGR’s Scott Dixon picked up a penalty in the first split qualifying round, knocking out the 7-time Mid-Ohio race winner early. Additionally, Alex Palou failed to make the Firestone Fast 6, ending his run of 5 consecutive pole positions.
