Round 3 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) reshaped the championship picture across all four classes after the 4 Hours of Imola.
United Autosports doubled its LMP2 lead from three to six points, while Algarve Pro Racing moved back to the top of LMP2 Pro/Am. Rinaldi Racing returned to the head of LMP3, and TF Sport jumped from fifth to first in LMGT3 after victory from pole position. The official standings list United Autosports, Algarve Pro Racing, Rinaldi Racing and TF Sport as the class leaders after Imola.
United Autosports doubles LMP2 lead
United Autosports strengthened its LMP2 title position after Ben Hanley, Grégoire Saucy and Griffin Peebles secured second place at Imola. The #22 Oreca-Gibson crew claimed its third podium from three races and moved to 58 points.
Forestier Racing by Panis also closed the gap through another maximum-score weekend. Louis Rousset, Esteban Masson and Oliver Gray won their second race of the season in the #29 Oreca-Gibson and added the pole bonus point, taking their total to 52 points. As a result, they now sit only six points behind United Autosports.
Behind them, Bijoy Garg and Reshad de Gerus dropped to third in the #34 Inter Europol Competition Oreca-Gibson. They finished sixth in Italy and now sit on 45 points. Meanwhile, Jamie Chadwick, Valerio Rinicella and Laurents Hörr finished fourth for the third race in a row and hold fourth in the standings on 36 points for IDEC Sport.

Algarve Pro Racing and Vector Sport tie in LMP2 Pro/Am
LMP2 Pro/Am produced the biggest change after a dramatic race at Imola. Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli and Malthe Jakobsen moved the #20 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca-Gibson back to the top of the standings after finishing second in Italy.
However, Vector Sport matched Algarve Pro Racing on points after Jens Reno Møller, Cem Bölükbaşı and Lorenzo Fluxa won the 4 Hours of Imola in the #7 Oreca-Gibson. Both teams now sit on 43 points after three rounds.
Duqueine Team lost the championship lead after a difficult race from pole. Giorgio Roda, Doriane Pin and Richard Verschoor finished seventh in Italy and dropped to third on 38 points. AF Corse remains close behind, with François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxivière and Antonio Fuoco fourth on 36 points in the #83 Oreca-Gibson.

Cem Bölükbaşı shares the #7 Vector Sport win and sits level with the team’s 43-point total in the official race context, although the published drivers’ table does not display his name in the same line as Møller and Fluxa.
Rinaldi Racing returns to LMP3 lead
Rinaldi Racing moved back to the top of the LMP3 standings after José Fernandes Cautela, Alvise Rodella and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen finished second at Imola. The #5 Ligier-Toyota now leads the class with 49 points.
Inter Europol Competition lost the championship lead after a difficult Italian round. Alex Bukhantsov, Chun Ting Chou and Henry Cubides Olarte could only score one point with the #13 Ligier-Toyota, leaving the team second on 41 points.
CLX Motorsport also revived its title defence with a perfect Imola score. The reigning champions took LMP3 pole and race victory with the #17 Ligier-Toyota, scoring 26 points and climbing from eighth to third in the teams’ standings on 40 points.

TF Sport moves to the front in LMGT3
TF Sport took control of the LMGT3 standings after converting pole into victory at Imola. Blake McDonald, Alec Udell and Charlie Eastwood moved the #33 Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R from fifth to first with 44 points.
The margin remains narrow. Barcelona winners Matthew Kurzejewski, Thomas Sargent and Richard Lietz sit just one point behind in the #75 Proton Competition Porsche after scoring 12 points in Italy.
Kessel Racing dropped from the championship lead to third after the #57 Ferrari failed to score at Imola. Takeshi Kimura, Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Serra remain on 40 points after winning at Le Castellet. Meanwhile, Team Qatar by Iron Lynx rose from seventh to fourth after Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses and Maxime Martin took second place in Italy, the first podium for a Qatari-flagged car in ELMS.

Spa-Francorchamps awaits after Imola shake-up
The 2026 ELMS title fights remain open after three rounds. United Autosports leads LMP2 by six points, while Algarve Pro Racing and Vector Sport share the LMP2 Pro/Am lead. Rinaldi Racing carries an eight-point LMP3 advantage, and TF Sport leads LMGT3 by just one point.
Round 4 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series will take place at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday, 23 August.
